I'm nearly 60 and able to attend my first home game of the season.
My goodness, to see a big crowd at Fir Park on a Feb Sunday to Stand Up And Sing For The Motherwell.
Here's the thing: top 6 has never entered my mind. I'm looking up, not down. Let the Glasgow media deflect & defer to the ugly sisters. There's only one team playing football here.
We play on, I summon the spirit of 32, 52 and 91.
Thanks for that update. I've been trying to understand a technical reason why a ticket bought through a club isn't immediately visible in the Hampden app.
Guessing data not transferred in real time from one t'other.
6 decades ago anaw we could put a man on the moon
Last week goal was given by ref & lino, that is to say tackle was not deemed to be a foul. Their boy just bounced up to be fair didn't roll about dying swan routine.
Just's header there given by ref & lino, VAR said hang on I'm not having that on my watch.
I'm not seeing any tickets on my Hampden app, weren't they supposed to show 7 days before the match?
Anyone else seeing theirs?
EDIT: I can see on MFC site it now says "the week of the game". Thought it said 7 days before previously.
In ma late 50's now and living in Inverclyde so will walk to/from Hampden from the toon. When living in Wishy I'd get train to Rutherglen and walk fae there.
Can't really get easy parking within a mile but sure there will be streets 20+ mins walk away if you're early enough and know where to go?
Funny, as a teenager I'd no problem being in the west terracing for that Spain gemme Nov 84 even though you're in a different post code to the goals down the far end. What a great night that was and was in very same spot for 91 cup final.
Think my fav spot was the north terracing, saw my first Inglin gemme there 85. Dickie Gough's header and it pished doon all gemme. McStay's 30 yarder against Iceland(?) and U16 youth world cup final were other highlights from that spot. Aside fae the mascots' granddads beating us course.
Nowadays I'd never want to be stuck in a seat behind the goal.
Too true
They've never stood on the Gorgie Rd terracing soaked through as you lose a cup tie 4-0. Still stayed to the end. Been there got the t-shirt, nearly dry noo.
