  1. Their nickname is the Tinmen - we'll be too strong for them! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Llanelli_A.F.C. I'll get my coat!

Saw two wee boys out with their mum and dad on Wishaw Main Street with their new kits yesterday - magic! The boys that is... I can see my eldest boy getting one for his 7th birthday in Sep.
  3. Read between the lines folks! He's after that boy Malcolm's job! He's heard about Thain's the Bakers on George Street (they open early doors on a Friday but don't close until noon on Sunday) and he's dreaming about spending his Dons salary on butteries, steak pies, pineapple cakes and scones at 3am on a Sunday.... So, who are we gonna get to replace Flow? I'd see if the Stockport County webmaster is wanting a change of scenery.....
  4. I wonder if they'll put a bid in for Flow? He's the SPL's best Media Man (as voted for by the hacks) and is a general web wizard. Will Flow follow in McGhee and Leitchy's footsteps? Will the lure of a top end Vauxhall Corsa and free mutton pies for life sway the boy away from the Chapman Building????
  5. If the Wikipedia entry is accurate then Gannon took Stockport County from 5 points adrift from safety at the bottom of League Two to a few points off the Championship. He likes his teams to play free flowing fitba and is outspoken against the FA, referees and anyone he feels goes in roughshod against his players. The County fans certainly seemed to like him - plus I know some Hibees who are gutted they didn't get him. He'll know loads of players who could do a job in the SPL and he won't cost MFC a penny in compensation as he's currently unemployed after County went into administration. I'd be happy with him in charge.
  6. Jim Gannon! Have a gander:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Gannon On looking at the usual suspects though for a club of our stature - I think he's the best by a long shot.
  7. I have only just read about this on the official site - have been snwoed under with work and life and weans and stuff. Made me go out and hunt the scan I did of an old pic of Willie. Have a gander: They don't make 'em like that anymore! RIP Willie.
  8. Reid Printers over in Blantyre used to print the program and they had a load of old photies of players etc stuck in the loft. I used to use them quite a bit myself when at two previous employers and I got a look over some of the old stuff. They had a bit of a re-org/buyout a few years back and this stuff might not have survived but the Sales Director there is a former player of the club so he might be worth contacting. I have some scans of the Reid Printer images but will have to go see where I put them. The other thing that's been mentioned above is the North Lanarkshire Council employee (I don't know if he's still with them - I think his name might be Andy) who built up a pretty comprehensive database that was available to peruse down at the Heritage Centre. A really good shout for something of this ilk would be to see whether those digital assets could be used on a big touchscreen in something like a heritage room in the Phil O Donnell stand. Would make for a cracking stadium tour showpiece - imagine the sights and sounds of excerpts of the big games of the past! Or browsing through player biographies, reading season summaries. Just some ideas!
  9. How many of his goals this past season were scored from the penalty spot?
  10. How well did Leitchy do for them? Did he ever captain Hearts?
