  1. No way - Tokely is a thug - ask Jamie Murphy. A better bet is to give Ian Murray a chance to ressurect his career - left footed, good pace, can play centre back ,midfield or left back (although not against Humphries)
  2. The big problem with segregating fans is that you can no longer go to a game with an mate who supports the other team. As the majority of West of Scotland fans support a team based on reglious background this means that your mate is probably either a "h*n" or a "Tim" BUT in the most part a good football supporter. Can I suggest that at all games, not just Old Firm Matches, that the wings of the POD stand are given over to 'Well fans plus a mate for whom they are responsible. The outcome should maximise the reveneue and at the same time move us toward a more tolerant atmosphere at the ground whilest leaving the "numpties" segregated in the three other stands.

    Faddy

If the deal is done - very happy for Faddy ( he seems to have lost his way in the 8 years he has been down south) and Scottish Football will also benefit. I accept that he will score lots of times against us (but so did Deans, McClair & Walker) but we only will encounter him 4/5 times a year - I will take great delight in seeing him gub the rest of the SPL sides. It will also mean that Levein will have to pick him. No doubt there will be those who will give him a hard time on the Web and on the park but those are the same numpties who give our own players grief rather than encouragement
  4. Has to be "Steeltown" by Big Country - so right on every level - title, lyrics, music, community, nationality
  5. Can anyone remember a save that Stevie made ?
  6. I suspect all those out of contract will go for varying reasons - Will only be sorry to lose Jennings. I think we should find a backroom role for Craigan (a replacement for Kenny Black?) Suggest we pursue Nish from Hibs (better in the air and more mobile than Sutton) ; Bring back McLean from Falkirk (he made a silly decision to leave us & and push the boat out for McDonald from Burnley. The squad will be supplemented by Halsham & Lawless coming back- Ross & McHugh need a sustained spell in the team to see if they have got it - Carswell and Smith seem good prospects so lets give them a go. Lets only bring in players we can move on - there should be no place for the Jones who are no better than what we have and only hinder the progress of the younger players. Remember if Administration had not cleared out the older players the likes of McFadden, Clarkson and Pearson would not have come through.
  7. Were we separated at birth? Comments are too alike - even the avitars are similar.
  8. Did not expect to win but extremely proud of the team, management and support today - from the wonderfull claret & amber saltire to the numerous corners at the end as they pressed for at least a token goal. Lots of "what ifs - Gunning's shot - Majstorovic non-second booking" At the end of the day our flair players Murphy & Humphrey were either not at their best or more likely Celtic were more "street wise" and blotted them out - every time either got the ball the Celtic midfield were doubling up on them. This meant that Sutton had no service to speak of - he is a like Pettigrew (althought Willie even in his fifties could still beat him in a foot race) unless he scores he has contributed little to the team. The passing & performances of Hateley and Jennings although defending very well was at the best mixed or poor. Craigan was what you expect from Craigan - all heart, some terrific tackles & bad passes, luckly not to be sent off, the usual own goal (How many OG's has he scored ? It must be a Scottish record) - So pleased for him however to have a chance at picking up silverware. Tidy/pass mark performances from Lasley, Hammell, Randolf and Gunning. Another massive performance from Hutchison - we must get him tied up to a longer contract than to 2012. McCall got his tactics spot on and must be credited for his comments after the match - Only the result was wrong but you can't expect to win against an Old Firm 11 (supplemented by 3 from SpecSavers) with so few on top of their game. After some 54 competitive matches (I think) I look forward to a proper break, good pre-seaon and successful season ahead boosted by a share of today's gate money. Just sorry John Boyle (£10m shorter in his back pocket) could not go out on a high
  9. What happened to Keith McRae after Man.City? (I note he was sub the last time we met St Johnstone in a cup semi)
  10. Just heard the interview with "Mr Integrity" Brown on Radio Scotland. When asked "what did John Boyle say to you?" the response was " I don't really know .... Archie heard more than I did" So Craig didn't know what was said but decided to chase Boyle up the tunnel anyway? Meanwhile "Radar Ears " Archie despite speaking someone else and with his back to Boyle heard everything. As ever Craig we believe you
  11. Totally agree - This is an ideal opportunity to bring the young talent on - lets see what Smith can do with a run of games. Paw Broon's short-termism has meant that there was no-one brought through during his time in charge (he left the Scotland jobs in the same position). With the exception of bringing back Lasley all the good SIGNED players were brought in by Gannon
  12. Craigan was better today than I have seen in the past but there is no use winning a tackle only to pass the ball back to the opposition or out the park. Clear message needs to go to Stephen "short pass to Hutchison (best passer in the team), Hammell, Midfield or else Randolf ONLy" - no long balls and don't dilly dally. But I am nitpicking it was a great performance only spoiled by:- 2 exceptional goals from Rangers Jammy goalkeeping from Alexander Dodgy refereeing by Collum "The rub of the green" Powderpuff finishing from Murphy The best visit to Hampden for 20 years - Well done
  13. We suffer from the same old problem with a lack of height in the team - Inverness will pump high balls into the box as most team do against us and we constantly struggle to clear our lines. Lets have a back four of :- Page - Craigan - Hutchison - Reynolds The only other decision is "who plays left midfield?" I would try Hammell again in the position as he is too small at the back - alternatively Hateley could play there
