Agree that scoreline flatters us. Thought they could have ripped us apart in that spell in second half! Got to say, Murphys best game in a long, long time. Funnily enough, before the game I said if he played well he's found his level, bit OTT but before today, I don't think I've ever seen him make a run without turning back + he did it every run today!! This is forbes + mchughs last season unless they prove us wrong but in forbes' case everything he does wrong he gets boos or hears "git to fuck" but when the likes of craigan does something wrong, we're all used to it and if it doesn't concede a goal then I actually hear the crowd laughing. It's mental. No way should either of them been subbed in a day like today, they need a chance to prove themselves so mccall should have given them the full 90 mins. And forbes is no way worse than what we'd seen of hughes but the way some fans acted you'd think he was the bloody saviour we had been waiting on and imo a pay as you play short term loan player starting in front of one on our books is bad business. Maybe he was giving mccall a cut of his wage. Bit off topic but I hope you know what I'm getting at. Page neither impressed or frustrated me today. Ojamma (sp) looked like an impact player, interesting to see him start alongside Higdon. Don't know what to think of law today tbh, lost his way a bit. The team we put out was not what I expected. Thought it a wee bit disrespectful + could have came back to bite us. Had a neutral with me at game today, said it didn't look like there was X amount of leagues between the teams but obvious we had more quality. Felt sorry for them actually cause they were unlucky not to score. This is a wee bit of a negative post but it's more to do with treatment of forbes + mchugh by both fans + mccall Someone shouted "mccall fucking changing this" when we were 2-0 up????? Isn't that the point of a game - to win? If it had gone 2-2 then I would have agreed but come on, get real.

maybe not filling in for hammell but on saturday and partcularly at pittodrie and st mirren park he spent more time marking the opposition full back than attacking them Could this be because it was him that give the ball away + he was tracking back? I keep hoping his recent performances have all been part of some bigger plan to stop him getting sold but just now I couldn't care less if he did go.

Will admit murphys run in first half was good but doesn't merit motm
-
if that was murphys finest game in a long time then I assume u don't get to many games? And for the 5 who voted murphy motm then I suggest asking santa for new glasses! The boy needs dropped, give mchugh a go now can't be any worse

Got to say, it worried me a wee bit when he was getting up front and higdon & murphy were trailing behind him.

At the moment, on the bench i'm afraid and def not worth dropping lasley or jennings over

I have to agree with MJC. It really, really pisses me off that even away in Inverness we applaud and even sing songs about a former player who lets be honest, wasn't what everyone makes out he was for us. He was a sub-standard, middle of the road lazy b*stard who scored an occasional penalty. He was dire last week and i'm glad he no longer plays for us. Sutton was a much better player. I was sorry to see him go. About the game, im thinking a 1-0 so Randolph keeps a clean sheet, and i'll go for hutchy scoring off a corner (he had some chance on saturday)

Law looks to become some player and just what hammell has needed (although i do get them confused sometimes ) What a strike by Lasley! Got the free season ticket for my 7 year old cousin. Took her to the toilet and missed Hammell's goal On a brighter note we have a new Well fan! From a family of rangers fans she went home and told them she is going to come to every game and they are buying her a motherwell top for Kilmarnock game I think (hope) this is going to be a good season! The team looks to have gelled well and McCall is doing something right. Only problem now is that everyone else is realising this too!

Randy Hately Craigan Hutchy Hammell Humph Lasley Jennings Law Murphy Higdon Last chance time though for forbes & mchugh to make their mark otherwise they are offski

Havent we changed sponsers to cash converters? i would think this means new strip
-
sorry if this has been asked, does the person whos matric card it is need to be there to purchase ticket or can someone pick it up for them with their card?
-
Been trying to call all morning, busy. Are there any claret tops with the cup on the front and fixtures on the back left in the club shop?
-
Does anyone know if the t-shirts with all the fixtures on the back still available?
-
sorry if already has been mentioned: but who would even pay £65 for the hospitality deal with the club?!?! £25 for ticket and £5 for bus so thats £35 for the breakfast. Or am i missing something? On the other hand, we tried to get the £25 seats but as they are reserved we couldnt. But for the £25 seats your paying an extra £35 for a breakfast?

i can see where he is coming from. just because he is "well respected" does not excuse his actions. and boyles if i am not being biased.
-
Thing is: i dont think we are in a position to rest these players incase they get booked so they can play the final if we make it. This is the best chance we've had in years to make the final but im trying not to get my hopes up because i'll be even more disappointed if we dont. I think it will be a hard game, been said before but it doesnt do us any favours when we are the favourites. I am hoping for a great game but a crap game with us scoring the winner late on will do me just fine. FIngers well and truely crossed! Pun intended! 'Mon the Well!

Or bring forbes on as a direct replacement for lasley? When hammell was at right back everyone was screaming for him to take it down the wing but he had to cut in everytime cause he doesnt have a right foot. Re Muzz comment: the difference is you cannot play left backs at right back - we would just get caught out all the time.
-
Bit O/T. At ibrox last week, did anyone else get completely searched and the metal detector used on them on the way in?
-
Ok then. For an average player like Foran, I agree with MJC - dont understand our fans applauding him when he gets subbed
-
PLEASE NOTE: Richie Foran & Terry Butcher are no longer with Motherwell FC therefore it is unneccessary to sing songs praising them as per up at Inverness earlier this season. Anyway, I was happy with the team against dundee but now that is not possible without Fitzy, I am unsure of who I want to see tomorrow. Hately is not a midfielder. Unfortunately I think Forbes will start but we need someone in midfield asap because I just dont think he can do it. Why is everyone dropping hammell? Did Pollock come on as a sub on Wednesday night? How did he play?
-
Would much rather Forbes left than Fitzy. I am not Fitzy's biggest fan but the few times he has played this season thought he had improved. Can't argue with him refusing us for longer term deal. Good Luck to him.

I went to toilet before KO, and found there was no running water. I went to the kiosk to see if they had any running water, to my amazement they didn't!!! They gave me some of that hygiene hand gel. But the people on the kiosk serving food didn't have facilities to wash their hands which is a disgrace.

They will not say anything about the ref i bet (no pun) for fear of another strike. The refs are starting to get too much power.
-
Oh the irony! Well, whatever the rules (and we know the referee's make them up as they go along, one rule for some and one rule for others) I dont think foul and abusive language is a straight red. You see it on TV all the time when you lip read, they all swear to the ref so should they all be red carded?!?! Jennings only said what the fans were singing all night so should we have been ejected from the ground???
-
This has been blown way out of proportion. Hands up all those at the game who knew something was going to happen whether it be a penalty or sending off. Theres been so many games that because of the performance of the referee that you just knew he would give something. On Tuesday night, it had to be against us. It was clear to anyone watching it on TV or at the game, we were getting nothing off him. I don't blame Jennings and he has done nothing wrong. He didn't act any differently on Tuesday night than he does any other game. He seems to have a reputation and thats why he gets booked easily. If it was say reynolds who put in the tackle that Jennings got a yellow for, you can bet someone like reynolds would have only got spoken to at most. In fact, after Jennings yellow, i was surprised that he hadnt given Craigan before him a yellow as well. I can't really remember craigans tackle but he was very angry and was shouting at the ref and protesting. If anything he should have been given another yellow but never a straight red.
