  1. Lawless performed well last season and looks like carrying that form onwards. I have no doubt he's a good player but was behind Murphy, Humphrey, McHugh, Higdon and Ojamma last season. I'm glad he got the chance to move on and progress.

I have a feeling Forbes will come back to haunt us. Regardless of all those who are very vocal about his work rate, commitment and fitness, he is a technically gifted player who can score some great goals. Remember a certain game against an Albanian team in Airdrie?

The Vigurs debate is amongst the worst I've heard. Possibly as bad as 'Higdon, not the answer' from last season. I thought Vigurs to be one of the best attacking and goalscoring midfielders of last season. We haven't had that midfield option for a number of seasons.

  2. I'm pretty upset with the basic errors that cost us.

Although I did like ZFA tonight, I felt that we were playing the Murphy role with him. He's not the creative sort and it showed. Hammell was murder, not something I thought I'd ever say. Maybe I'm being reflective at the grand age of thirty five, but maybe a season too far? Thought Keith was exposed at times too.

In the end it wasn't a kind draw to us. They are a wealthy club with good players and looked incredibly fit.

I'm just really upset that when the second goal went in the tie was effectively over.

  3. Boyd's behaviour at the 2011 cup final sickened me. We developed him into the player that went to Chelsea and Celtic and he showed a disgusting lack of respect to the fans.

For our young fans who were at the game it was a horrific example of narrow minded, bigoted individual who should have known a lot better.

  4. McManus, Lasley, Hammell, Sutton.... I'd say we are not short of a physical presence, bullish attitude and a will to win now.

Hopefully McManus will bring composure to Hutchison's play as I always think he could be a central defender in the Tony Adams mould.

  5. I'm a PSV fan, so I know NEC well.

They are a mid table side, Jimmy Caulderwood was their coach in the late 90's. He's actually still very with regarded by many of those in the Netherlands.

I'm sure Higdon will fare well as the spearhead in a 4-3-3 formation, which two close supporting attackers.
