  1. Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is their problem with it?

I think for an individual that has passed a minutes appluase in celebration of what they gave to people is totally appropriate, thinking off hand Uncle Phil, Tommy Burns, great players, gentlemen.

On the other hand marking an event of the great wars were millions died in a way most of us cant imagine for the reasons they did, a minutes silence to remember in a respecful way is appropriate in my opinion.

As for those who have there own twisted agenga to try and justify their actions on these occasions, this will show them up for what they are.

  2. Forbes had a quiet game but you've got to admit, if there was is one foot in the entire squad you would hope that a cross would land at, it's Ross Forbes' lefty.

Great strike from a quality cross from Yass, thought we deserved the 3 points today from the tactics and teamwork from the boys today.

  3. To be honest for me the main factor is the cost, as i said on a previous post about admission prices, i have a season ticket for the Cooper stand a family one 1 adult and 2 kids 320 pounds. My son is now 16 so classed as an adult, my daughter 14, for us to get into an away game like supporters coming to Fir Park would cost 55 quid, before travel food etc.

I know the clubs have overheads but the punters cannot afford to go to a lot of the games. What the answer is, i dont know.

  4. Thought we were more positive going forward today, got to say Sutton and the Juke played a lot better than i thought they would together, holding up play and getting others involved.

Must say i was a big supporter of Crags, but watchin today gotta say without Hammel as well we played really well across the back four.

  5. Still think the players are gettting used to the style of play the manager wants and at times are unsure what to do.

Hopefullly as the season progresses the team become used to each other and will create more chances with the cutting edge we all want to see.

Also, you will always get the punt it up the field, hes behind you, pass it , f**k thats a sh**e ball, punters no matter where you sit.

By the way thats why they are sitting in the stands.

  6. Why i started i was not to get it round our ex manager or to give him more space on this board but to acknowlege his leaving along with some of the dead wood/stale players has actually did us a favour. We were all moning the fact that he ran the squad down, we had hardly a starting line up. but that has been addressed imo for the good of the club.

  7. Live tv and prices effect attendances.

I am lucky enough to have a season ticket adult and 2 kids for the Cooper but couldnt afford it if i was paying in every week.

It would cost me over £50 a home game and im in full time employment, loads cant afford it.

  8. For what its worth has Mr. McGhee done us a favour in leaving? I think after watching us in the Europa and League campaigns Jim Gannon has rebuilt the team from the remaining players that have taken on board the change in management and style.

IMHO this was long overdue watching last years efforts , players going through the motions team with no direct leadership from the management with no apparent ideas how to go forward or how to change a game .

With appointment of Jim Gannon some fresh ideas, freeing up of wages, transfer money, the introduction of the boys from the 19s and the players brought in, his tactical understanding of the game( something McGhee didnt have), the way he wants the team to play makes going to the games so far a much more enjoyable experience. Some of the passing and posession today was a joy to watch.

Whether the team can keep up the standard of todays game, i hope so. If we can find that final ball to finish off teams it may turn out a great season. ;)

  9. So that makes it alright to call someone a paedophile? I'm sure he was best pleased when we rolled that chant out.

No it doesnt make it alright but the question was about a specific person who had been convicted of having underage sex with someone, something MmG has not been charged with.

Unless you have any personel experience to prove me wrong?

  10. Aye, I believe everyone who sang that song today actually believes McGhee's a paedophile. I don't see the problem with it at all, we've sang much worse. Mind Graham Rix's first game at Fir Park?

Aye but Graham Rix did time for shaggin under age? Proven.
