  1. So you're unhappy with his appointment in the first place. Is there any way he could risen to the post from within the club in your eyes or would he have had to leave to then return when he gained necessary management experience elsewhere? Or should he never be considered?

Now don't focus on how you perceive how the club has transpired since she left but in Leanne's tenure were you happy in general with what she implemented and how the club progressed in her time? Like her or not I doubt anyone can claim the club changed immeasurably under her stewardship. If your answer is negative you can't deny she was successfully headhunted by a competitor with a larger purse.

Lot of issues you cite include Alan has been promoted to GM without an executive function. I'd suggest to you the same was the case when Leanne was appointed. She gained the "Executive" to her title as time progressed and JB's regular involvement diminished. However her CV before coming to Motherwell was hardly dazzling and a lot less impressive than Alan's.

Being promoted without voting rights does seem to follow your contention that there was caution from those who appointed him to not make the jump too much but I'm sure as time progresses that may change.

Finally onto the fact he still does the interviews. I'm sure you will know the job was advertised in the summer, there was a thread on here about it. Eddie Munster applied (allegedly) however the money on offer didn't make it attractive. Therefore safe to say the club couldn't find someone on their terms. Therefore Alan no doubt does it either because nobody is able or wants to do it. However if you'd rather have him upstairs in the boardroom chewing the fat for an extra 10 minutes with the Thomson's and Petries of this world then I understand your ire.

I just don't know what the catalyst for the criticism that you claim he's entitled is born from.

Regardless, he was appointed by Weir/McMahon/etc., he has their respect and is well thought of by the hacks and TV personnel. I've yet to see any criticism by anyone who genuinely has any daily dealings with him. All the detractors are those on here with limited knowledge of his role, what's he's had to deal with off the radar, how he's performing and what he has planned.

But blame has to be attributed somewhere, so he's now moved into your sights.

    Both parties CV's

  2. Yeah what bits exactly, if I'm working on a higher comedy plain than I even recognise myself I need to know.

Where I sit is of no consequence. By I'm guessing you're attempting to belittle me than address the questions I asked you to answer shows you are intent on peddling you're bile.

You seriously want me to answer your questions, I'll answer them when you learn to understand that people may have an opinion that differs from your own, and without resorting to the usual throwaways like 'Keyboard Warrior' describing someones opinion as an Ignorant or Idiotic statement then go on to describe what i said as peddling bile....then you moan because you reckon I'm trying to belittle you.

  3. OK, do you think Leeann was good at her job and would you be happy if she was still at the helm?

If so, tell us what you know of her business background before she was appointed.

McMahon and Weir determined he was good enough, I have a lot more trust in their business acumen than some keyboard warrior with as OTF points out, a degree of jealousy with half arsed reasoning.

So tell us, what capabilities is Flow lacking? What errors of judgement has he made? (make sure your accusations fall within his remit).

You're confusing a poor run on the park with inefficient administration of the club.

Your replies get funnier every time I read them....can I take a guess and suggest you sit in the middle section of the east stand ?

  4. Crass & reeks of the green eyed monster. He accepted the challenge of moving up knowing & having friends remind him it may be his last job at the club. To be fair I think the lad is juggling soot at times.

Let's not be kidded, he's well thought of internally & rated externally. I've a hunch our benefactor realised similar in their many dealings long before the link made public domain. We are about to see our club evolve, in what guise or how succesful is debate for the future, but, would urge the process be embraced. Make no mistake - he'll be at the forefront.

It is my opinion to which I am entitled.

  5. Yet another idiotic statement in the days after a poor result.

I'm looking forward to your reasoning for such an ignorant statement.

My response has nothing whatsoever to do with the defeat, my reasoning is if you want to be seen as a serious business/football club you appoint people with a background in business or football to such lofty positions, not the guy who started his own MFC fans website then got appointed to the media officer at the club, flow was good at that job of that there is no doubt, but there comes a point that you can be promoted way above your capabilities, sadly I think flow reached that point when he was given the GM job. An easy option was taken to promote from within knowing he was not the type to question things or rock the boat.

  6. I'm sure that I read he was involved in the process of interviewing for the new manager and that he went to Barbados to meet Hutchinson so there is obviously some responsibility involved.

If what you say is true and flow was involved in the interview process for a new manager, then we really are doomed and whoever thought it appropriate for him to be involved should be sacked.

  7. I'd be interested to know if the club keep track of the numbers of past juvenile season ticket holders and monitored what they've done once they've outgrown that juvenile ticket.

Have they got a Concessionary ST after moving into further education? Have they made the leap from juvenile to adult ticket? Have they fallen off the radar and are PATG or in a worst case have been priced out of going?

I remain of a mind that its a helluva of leap for some laddie used to paying £80 or whatever leaving school and finding low or modestly paid work suddenly finding the season ticket leaps around £200 in price.

It would be great if my concerns were misplaced and there is evidence of a progression from most younger season ticket holders but I do have worries that the progress being made and the money invested in getting new younger season ticket holders in, might be stalled or even lost if they find that leap between a juvi and adult ticket too big a bridge.

For a number of years I asked the same questions about what was being done to follow up on the give away tickets and cheap deal tickets for kids or parents and kids, to begin with I was told a pack of porkies, and after some pressing it boiled to down to the club was doing sod all, seemed they were only interested in boosting the numbers for particular games, to be honest I would be surprised if much has changed.

  8. Gave up my season ticket, missed most of last season due to stupid prices and a shit product. Not been to either game this season, and don't see it changing any time soon.

MFC have for too long ignored the PATG fan, in favour of bending over for season ticket holders, the ticketing shambles for the cup final was the last straw, It looked like they would have handed out tickets to a stray dog before a PATG fan.

The club can craw about the increase in ST's while ignoring the fact the crowds are shrinking, I only speak for myself, but I would hazard a guess I'm not the only former PATG fan who has given up going because of the deplorable way we are/were treated by the club.

  9. 4190 attended the first game of the season, this being the first game back after the Cup final, if folk canny get themselves up for going to the game, how the hell does anyone realistically expect them to part with what could be around £300.

I know that it's all speculation until we get proper plans to look at, but looking at the way this has been dealt with up till now by the spokesperson..........I canny help but thinking about Zoom Airlines.

  10. Have either of you got any form of constructive breakdown of where it went wrong, or is abusing someone who at least tried to pick out flaws enough?

I could run through five or six mistakes today, as opposed to a blunt fuck off. Even if I disagreed.

We lost the final, people are feeling a bit down, then you come on here and the first thing you see is criticism of McCall, you want constructive breakdown... go and lie in yir pish

  11. Hello,

Just got in and cannot figure out why play a system, never tried before, in a Cup Final?

Steven Hammell is NOT a midfielder, he has played a handful of times there in his whole career, however he is favoured to Tom Hateley in midfield.

The only reason we saw such a baffling display is simple. Stuart McCall could not drop either Craigan or Hammell for the final.

Remember the back four who played against Celtic when we won 2:0, was Craigan playing, hope.

So we go out and play a new system on a Cup Final, seriously, it beggers belief.

We got it badly wrong today and the better team won, however I cannot forgive the changing of a system of play in such a crucial game as today. Shameful and woeful.

The question now has to be can McCall change things before the new season and who will he be left with. As for decisions, this one backfired Stuart, big time.

No doubt I will get shot down for my post, however if I told you we were going to try a new formation IN THE CUP FINAL, you would be asking questions about McCall's tactics too.

And you will be that well known super coach, dry yir feckin eyes

  12. Moe, not sure if your post was intended was specifically in response to mine. Coming a couple of posts after mine and referring to some of the stuff I was mentioning to it may well be.

Either way I certainly don't believe being a season ticket holder entitles anyone to celebrity status as you put it.

You may well be right about a maximum allocation for season ticket holders and your suggestion of four would seem reasonable enough.

If it came across as such I'm not actually advocating an unlimited supply for ST holdersm, simply that despite some current anxieties about the allocation, I reckon we'll have a sufficient number for everyone that wants to go. I just wonder if the club might consider it easier for them, if not necessarily fairer, to shift as many as they can via season ticket holders thereby reducing their workolad.

Andy, No it was not directed at your earlier post, I was just making a general point. Still not keen on the idea of shifting loads of tickets via ST holders, the allocation and sale should be as fair as possible to all Well fans, so I would not worry about the workload, it's the biggest match for the last 20 years, so I would expect the club to have the workload situation sorted.

  13. I think it's universally agreed that ST holders will get first dabs on the tickets, but this notion that they should be allowed to buy as many as they like is not on, filling their boots with tickets for Uncle Jed, Aunty Mavis and their eight brats who have never seen inside FP is madness, a maximum of four is plenty enough for ST Holders, most St holders as sensible people, but some seem to think it entitles them to Celebrity status

  14. i always thought it implied that aberdeen chucked us a wee sweetener to withdraw the complaint.

why else would we withdraw, complaining to the spl costs nothing and there was a decent chance of some compo.

Or, after some thought Boyle decided we had no grounds for complaining

  15. I'll draw your attention to the Aberdeen statement Moe, read it and convey back on here what you think is being inferred.

I would suggest that both clubs wanted to get to football, so they got together and came up with a statement both parties were happy with.
