I really like the look of Hetherington but at present we don't have anyone capable of replacing Jennings. Replacing our key player over the last 2.5 years is priority for me. Re Hutchison, have no doubts he is injured. Had Watford not had a takeover though, he'd probably have been on his way there after they sold their centre half. Reading between the lines, I'd say Randolph is closest to the exit. Hollis has had a fair amount of game time.

Enjoyable afternoon. Plenty of options going forward and we put together some lovely moves. Obviously struggling at the back with crossed balls continuing to cause havoc. Peach of a goal from Law and he was unlucky not to get a 2nd. Faddy and Ojammaa up front together was such a tease. Fairly impressed with Ramsden. Good at playing the ball out from the back and appears to have a knack of getting a toe in to break up play. As McCall says, not really a centre half but he would be a useful addition. Wonder what the script with Fraser Kerr is? Good to see Hetherington as well, I've got a good feeling about this boy.

They will end up with a SPL select. Sad state of affairs but wouldn't blame these guys heading to Sevco as they will be the only story in town for the next few years. Unless you have aspirations of playing at international level, Sevco presents a unique opportunity to have a few easy years earning a decent wage, while writing yourself into history. This comes of course with the caveat that there is sufficient investment to get them off the ground.

Without having great knowledge of the current Panathanikos team, snippets would suggest that we could possibly have a right good go at them with last seasons starting XI. If we can get Hutchison fit and the nod from Sky to fund replacements for Clancy/Jennings then who knows what is possible. Hopefully we have scope to do ourselves justice at FP and then see what happens in Athens. While the Greek climate is a major disadvantage I'm pleased to be playing a team that hasn't kicked off their league campaign. Moreover, a couple of their players put in a shift at the Euros and may not be at their sharpest. Winning this tie would set us up for years.

Had initially ruled out a trip but started looking into Kiev and Copenhagen the last few days. Indecision removed as Greece gives me the fear. Decent draw against one of the weaker options but with good European pedigree. Home tie first a bonus in terms of the club earning money.

Best of luck to him. If Devlin struggles to get near our first team, I wouldn't be surprised to see him head back to Stenny on loan.

I don't know the exact figures but I'd expect the well society, fund raising, euro prize money and euro ticket sales to be sufficient to get us through to the end of the season. Going into 12/13 we cut our squad accordingly. Ideally, we manage to sell a couple of players to ease the pressure. Tough times undoubtedly but I'm hopeful this season will prove to be a turning point in Scottish football.

Problem is, we are unable to facilitate a penny of debt due to our credit rating. As I suggested months ago, the well society was a glorified interest free overdraft but thankfully, it should just about keep us out of admin if we can't sell any players.

No signings if Sky/ESPN walk away. Would expect clarification from the Broadcasters after Mondays SPL meeting.

We were always liable to ship goals today with a makeshift defence. On top of that, we have nobody in the Jennings mould to protect the defence at present. Who knows how our squad will shape up come August but I look forward to the likes of Cummins, Hetherington, Devlin and Erwin making an impression.
