  1. Good to hear he is doing ok. Has he managed to develop much of a football brain?
  2. Id make one change to this team by resting Tait and giving Hendrie a debut. This is s pivitol week which could conclude with a very positive outlook or see us back in mire. The longer we go unbeaten against Thistle st home, the more I anticipate a slip-up. Hopefully not today though and it would be nice to see Nadir get off the mark.
  3. You wonder when he will get his opportunity though. Despite the prolonged injury to Frear, he has barely had a sniff due to the shape of the team. Then when the u20s have their first game in ages, he is lining up at right wing back. Not ideal.
  4. Squad unrest. The majority of the Hibs players seemingly couldnt stand him despite being a club legend. Terrific player on his day but there is no chance he will end up here.
  5. Robinson jinxed it with his bold pre-match interview. Suspect we will look at free agents as we are a bit light upfront.
  6. Pleased we have a natural left back but I remember being surprised when Hendrie signed for West Ham as I couldnt recall him catching the eye, unlike a few of his Accies teammates. Hopefully he is a natural with the ball at his feet. Obviously delighted we are keeping hold of Carson but I hope another opportunity will arise in the summer. He is a class act that deserves a decent payday. Liking the Joe Mason link. Hopefully there is something in this. Very decent striker at Cardiff from what I remember, including a goal against Liverpool in league cup final.
  7. 400-500k and a player on loan - think wed take that if we can identify a replacement. Carson cant knock back the opportunity of a hefty wage rise at 29.
  8. Carson to Celtic crossed my mind as soon as I heard about Gordon. If there is genuine interest, think we could get more than £200k given the time constraints of the window. Absolute scenes with his old man if this were true.
  9. Shouldnt be overly surprised with Tanner being dropped. The game plan will be to shitfest our way to 60/70 mins then bring on the footballers. Its worked in the past.
  10. We knew the style of football we were signing up to when the club gave Robinson the job and subsequent contract extension. Its jusy something well need to get on with and to be fair to Robinsons approach, hes provided a good few memorable nights (which have been few and far between in recent years) thanks to his desire to win at all costs.
  11. Livingstone, Turnbull and Maguire appear to get mentioned if ever Robinson interview now, which is pleasing to hear. With Tait suspended, I wonder if Livingstone has a chance of starting tomorrow...
  12. Absolutely love the video. Brilliant.
  13. Ive rated Cadden highly since I first seen him but in order for us to get £600k+ In the summer, I think he needs to start scoring more goals and providing more assists. Unfortunately, that wont be easy playing wingback.
  14. Bowman got a bad injury in training yesterday, according to Hartley.
  15. Hartley to sign a permanent deal in next few days. Robinson keen on another centre half and left back.
  16. Welcome result and it was a pleasure to listen to mixlr for a change. Depending on the seriousness of injuries to Bowman, Aldred, Newell and Plummer, we may be in for a busy end to the transfer window.
  17. Back 4 with diamond in midfield? At least with Bigi on bench, it gives us a decent option if we need to kick on 2nd half. The absence of Cadden and Frear will always make things difficult though.
  18. The club reportedly has very high hopes for Adam Livingstone, which is great to hear. I suspect however, that even if he fulfils his promise, he is some distance away from being a regular starter. That being the case, we really need to find a natural left back, preferably someone that is comfortable on the ball and can bomb up and down the park. Its a problem position that McCall, Baraclough and McGhee failed to address adequately. I doubt we will find the answer in January but hopefully its top priority for the summer.
  19. Think the point is that if St Mirren are running away with league, then the teams behind them are pretty poor. Something Id agree with based on limited tv coverage.
  20. Yes, confirmed in press conference. Cadden was always going to be a wait and see but I wasnt aware of Tanners injury until the Tenerife coverage commenced. As important a game as it is, we hopefully learned our lessons and wont risk them if its a 50/50 call.
