  1. Not including this seasons team... ---------------------Smith Corrigan - Reynolds - Craigan - Hammell McCormack - Leitch - O'Donnell - Pearson ------------McFadden - McDonald Subs - Marshall, Quinn, Partridge, Lasley, Kerr, Clarkson, Porter
  2. Naw, that folk will start saying that they'd rather still have Paul Quinn. I was in the small minority that backed Quinn against his critics but Yassin is an improvment on Quinn.
  3. Dunno if anyones noticed, but how tremendous is it having a striker that when a high ball is played, prefers to retain the ball other than head it too no one. Hateley has been shite recently and thats why the tactics dont work. Meechan looks like a player and the fact that Gannon has the confidence to play these young guys in this 'new' formation is great. I think we need to get back to basics though, some c**t have a shot from outside the box. We've been doign it less thus scoring less goals. Thats more annoying than defenders loosing possesion.
  4. Big Stall, Just naw. wunderwell, great arguments there. Better than any right back I've seen at Motherwell.
  5. Nah, not tinted specs here. At goal 4 he was marking his man, the midfielders never tracked back to pick up their men. The problem is that Kirk Broadfoot made Hammell look silly.
  6. Hahah, aye, he was clearly involved in those goals. In what way, the fact he was on the park. Thats as much as he was involved in us losing those goals.
  7. He wins corners because he pushes into the final third of the park, His crossing is poor but he drives forward and can beat a man. Hammell is one of the best passers we have but defensively he is pish. Yassin is the scapegoat for too many people. Thats mostly because they are used to seing our 'right back' joinded at the hip with a centre half. In recent years when Quinn/Corrigan would bomb forward and lose possesion they would rarely get back and win the ball, 9 times out of 10 they would concede a foul. Thats fair enough but thats not how Gannon has the team play and people need to adjust their expectations to every aspect of our play. Its great that we're passing it but still plenty fans would rather the ball pumped up the park. Many would rather we had a right back who just kicked folk, but we dont.
  8. At least 4 crosses did, but i didnt say anything in that post about his crossing. I can defend his positioning because I understand where he is playing. Where is the get Stevie Hammell to fuck thread? I mean, since he must have been out of position every game too?
  9. Naw, he was the only defender not responsible for us conceding a goal. Caught up the park? He is a wing back. Can you remember anytimes when Saunders wasn't directly behind him? Thats because thats where he has been told to play. Add in that he didn't cause us to lose any goals then that means he wasn't shite. There was one time he didnt get back and he knocked a player off of the ball with a brilliant shoulder tackle. Liabillity? Naw, a liabillity is playing a player fresh off of spell out with an injury without ushering him back to match fitness. Hutchinson was the cause of our defensive frailties yesterday, thats why he was moved from centre half during the first half. Cavalier attack? Right, because untill O'brien came on he was our only player that looked like he wanted to win the game. Every fucker is moaning that its fine and well playing this fucking monotonous passing game but we need to attack to win games. So because one player is actually attack minded and tries to get the ball up the pakr and not consitantly pass it to a centre half that means he's shite, lacks positional sense and a liabillity. Fuck off. He didnt cost us any goals yesterday and won us more corners/made more attack opportunities for us than anyone else. Thank fuck he was in the team or it would have been double figures.
  10. So because he got stuck into a player who was partially at fault for a goal thats wrong? The fact he is shite at crossing means fuck all, we never have anyone in the box anyway. I don't actually need to defend the guy. Yesterday he wasn't at fault for any of the goals and bar loosing the ball up field and not tracking back one time at the end of the game, he wasn't any worse that the rest of the defence.
  11. Naw, i'm no kidding. There is not one player in our team who closed the opposition down until they encroached on our box. So were they all out of position? Gannon set his team out wrong. He needs to realise you can't play like you are in the English league up here. He can't expect our players, espescially the forwards, to get all the time in the world so why does he treat the opposition as such? Also, Hammell was definately playing in midfield today.
  12. If you honestly believe this then you should refrain from commenting on the game.
  13. The folk saying Hutch had a good game must be blind. Wrong sided so many times and Beasley constantly made him/Reynolds/Hammell look silly. Lacking match sharpness cost us dearly, thats why he was pumped out to left back. In the first half I thought Saunders was our standout player, the second half was dire. WHY THE FUCK DOES NO ONE WANT TO GO ON A FUCKING RUN. FFS. The whole passing routine is shite. FOr the first 60 minutes Jennings was the only player to play a useful forward pass. Hateley had his worst game today, should have been hooked. O'Brien would have made a difference today, no doubting that. Majid Bougherra is a c**t, Far too good for the SPL.
  14. I've given up, the fact the people don't understand his role is plain stupid. On two occasions Jennings didn't cover for Yassin, they both led to attacking opportunities. McGeadys goal was a combination of things, Yassin should have just hoofed the ball, Jennings should have calmly passed the ball away, Hammell should have marked his man. Many were at fault. THe same people who moan about us being overly defensive and playing from the back too often are those criticising Yassin for being attack minded. The same folk probably slated Paul Quinn and now wish he was still here.
  15. Ross Forbes, central midfielder, came on to the field to play a winger role. He clearly gets tired in his preferred role so to be blowing out his arse after 15 minutes, in that horrific weather, playing as a winger is fine. For people to suggest it's something that will hold him back is fucking stupid. The guy has played around 20 games for us and has plenty of potential.
  16. Thats right, Put Jim O'Brien on in a position in which he is as much use as a land mine victim. You're correct again, ply Keith Lasley in his best role, Tom Hateley's shadow.
  17. Game seems to be getting played totally in the middle of the park.
