  1. Thats the biggest thing that annoys me on here. Folk who don't understand the game. I fucking detest when someone is unfortunate enough to break a leg or whatever but that alone doesn't warrant a red card. From my view in the east stand, It looked like an absolutely shocking tackle well worthy of a red card. It looked like there was intent to hurt. After seeing the highlights, anyone saying it was a good challenge is completely blind. Two footed, in the air and no where near the ball, straight red. The fact that Lasley got 'straight up from it' has no bearing on the tackle itself. As much as there was contact made on O'Brien he did simulate a dive. Thats what he was booked for. The 'stonewall penalty' wasn't a penalty at all. The biggest pain for me is the goal we scored that was chopped off. Lasley was a good few yards on side and Juke wasn't involved in play at that point. PISH.
  2. I personally don't have a problem with it, I just don't think the 'Fear Park' bit is warranted. On the aspect of it beign confiscated and being in front of the guys holding it, it was rightly taken from them. Although that should have only been for the duration of the game. I love that these guys go to the effort of producing hand made flags and banners, even if the accuracy of the images and grammar is suspect at times.
  3. Think he was an Icelandic under 19's player with Nigerian heritage.
  4. Naw, that was in the wash. I was there first mind, maybe there trying to cling onto my celeb status to get january moves.
  5. Ye were asked to take it down because it had a gun on it. It's only your own fault for noncompliance.
  6. I love this. Everyone is complaining that we can't beat ten men beacause there is no urgency in the team. Contrary to that, Yassin is constantly trying to get up the park and support the attackers. I guess everyone would rather he stayed on the defensive line the whole time. We play with wingbacks, a concept that Hammell doesn't seem to understand, which makes Yassin constantly look out of position. His biggest problem is holding onto the ball too long. This leads to him either being dispossesed or giving himself no space to cross the ball. Thats two things I can put up with.
  7. I did speak to them, didn't formally introduce myself though. From what i've heard, atleast one player reffered to me as a 'Gimp' Also, they went to see Law Abiding Citizen, Some film.
  8. Just thought i'd pop this in here. Seen 6 or so of the lads out at the cinema tonight. Seemed to be a real camaraderie amongst them which is always a good thing to see. Into this Dundee shite tomorrow.
  9. It's not though. Something from the club would mean people being paid. There is a fanzine and match programme at every home game. Having picked up the fanzine a few times there is plenty in there to keep ye going.
  10. Hahaha, Marlon King is a striker ya diddy.
  11. The reason is that, we essentially play with a back 5. As the ball is often played to Hateley from defence, we get no 10/9 man advantage.
  12. I know what you mean, My only reasoning is that he can pull inside and allow Yassin to bomb forward. If he drops further back then we have a better chance of retaining the ball I feel. Also, he has the uncanny ability to turn a man and show him a clean set of heels.
  13. Jim O'brien should be no where near the middle of the park. ------------------Ruddy-------------------- Yassin - Saunders - Reynolds - Hammell ------------------Hateley------------------- ---------------Coke Forbes---------------- ---The Juke---------------------O'Brien--- -----------------Murphy--------------------
  14. It looked like Humphs hamstring went against Accies. That can take a while to recover from.
  15. Loanees keeps things fresh. The clear out at the end of last season was what we needed, I'd rather see 5 players go and 5 new players come in every season but thats not always gonna happen. I think Gannon will signal who he wants to leave with any signings/loans that come in.
  16. He was dropped after that game. If i remember correctly, he could have done better with one of the goals. This is the same 'keeper who also won MOTM against celtic the previous season. His distribution is as good as Ruddys and from what we've seen, his shot stopping is just as good too. Ruddy is definately better at coming for the ball but he punches far too often. Outwith the Old Firm, i'd say we have the best backup in the SPL.
  17. Nae point, Half of ye would moan about it after buying it and the other half would moan about it and not buy it.
  18. I think that, when fit, Darren Smith is the kind of player who would work well under Gannon.
  19. Darren Smith, and The Hutch, took part in turning on the lights in Wishaw today. Euan Cameron spoke to the lads for a little bit. Smith,"Think we've made a great start to the season... we're going for 3rd place and europe. Realistically, we're aiming for the top six, after that though, 4th and 3rd is realistic." On the new manager,"He's been a breath of fresh air." They then went on to mock his(Gannon) fashion sense and music taste. Shauny never said much other than we had made a great start and that Hibs are the best team they've played. Darren still looked to be limping rather badly.
  20. Naw, Fletcher already went to Burnley.
