I don't think anyone is disputing that over the two legs the better team went through. I would however question the refs decisions on crucial calls e.g. blatant hand ball in first half that deserved straight red to Steua player and pen to M'well, goal 3 to Steua Hammel tripped off the ball by Steua player no free kick given. FFS i'm sat here half pissed and know the ref was rank. I agree with Jay our refs might be bad but that spanish see you next tuesday fair beats our refs in the shite department.

Best turnaround I've probably seen was against the beggars when we were 2-0 down in the Scottish Cup at the Citadel of Good Football and came back to win 3-2 with Wullie P scoring the winner.

I've been mulling this over and think that JG might be on the verge of being Motherwells next Bobby Ancell. When you consider his attitude to encouraging young talent it is a similar trait. When you take account of the talent that was reared through that era, Sinjy, Joe McBride, Martis, Aitken, Hunter (before my time however listening to the stories fae my dear old departed faither) we may just be on the cusp of a revisit to that era.
