  1. In need of a wee goal to settle the nerves then.
  2. Fuckin' knew it. If you can't put your chances away you'll eventually get punished. Need something from this match but from the BBC OAM it sounds as though it's the same old style of hoofball we've seen in the previous 5 games. Lack of creativity is hurting us.
  3. She just said that Inverness had scored a penalty. It literally took her 5 minutes to come back on and say that it had actually gone past the post! How the fuck do you miss if a penalty was scored or not??
  4. Better pictures on the official page. Home top has 1886 in shadow underneath the badge and away strip has vertical stripes. Also official site references a black away kit, is this the 3rd strip they are talking about?? I really like the away top not fussed about home strip. UPDATE: No mention of black strip on official page now?
  5. Happy enough with this, we need competition at the back. Although not too sure the Bury fans are too disappointed to see him go 'Thank God for that, biggest waste of space ever, when watching him he looked like he played with slippers on, always tripping up at the wrong moment. Hope never to see him in a Bury shirt again.'
  6. Robinson hinting on radio that they are hoping to get 'something done' with Hartley. Fingers crossed.
  7. How did Hartley play? Did he go off injured or just lack of match fitness?
  8. Wouldn't we need to agree a fee for Grimshaw from Preston? Not sure midfield is our top priority mind you, would rather have some more defensive cover if possible.
  9. I like Heneghan but would hate to see us lose him and Moult for nothing as they run down their contracts. If we get a sensible bid we should take it and move on.
  10. Fair enough, I thought it was for a foul.
  11. Went for Tait, he was everywhere today and had a hand in both goals. Special mention to Rose who I think covered every blade of grass too and was always willing to help out going forwards. Can't believe no-one is mentioning Bowman's second that was chopped off? That was never a foul.
  12. Reading between the lines of Robinson's comments on Faddy's departure, I'm thinking it will be a more experienced assistant this time. That surely rules Lasley out.
  13. It's the lack of fight and desire within the team that is almost frightening. No-one has the urgency to roll their sleeves up and take the game by the scruff of the neck. It's almost inconceivable how much they don't seem to care about the situation we are in. Baffling! Think the fans need to play their part as well and try to spur them on. Look at the Dundee support the last 2 games, over 1000 away fans and every single one of them is behind the team giving them their backing. That surely must spur the players on as well. Unfortunately, it looks like both players and supporters have thrown the towel in and are accepting of their fate. We need to snap out of this if we are to have any chance of avoiding the playoffs or worse.
  14. Motherwell subs: Brill, Ainsworth, Bowman, Ferguson, Campbell, McMillan, McDonald
  15. Samson, Tait, Hammell, Heneghan, McManus, McHugh, Moult, Cadden, Lasley, Chalmers, Clay
  16. From reading the PA forum, he appears to play the defensive midfield role and has a good eye for a pass. The only drawback from the comments I read was that he is pretty slow. I'm hoping the next midfielder in is a bit more of an attacking threat. Pleased with this one as the majority of posters deemed him pretty useful and part of the spine of the team.
  17. 6-0 is a boot in the baws but the big test of McGhee and the players will be to get motivated and be right in about it next week against County. Sometimes you just have to lift your hands up and accept that bad results will happen. What we need to do is move on and get prepared for the next game as best we can. We may even have a midfield back by then.
  18. Robinson and McDonald up top. Ripley, Grimshaw, McManus, Ainsworth, Pearson, Johnson, Chalmers, Kennedy, Robinson, Law, McDonald Subs: Samson, Laing, Fletcher, Clarkson, Moult, Leitch, Taylor
  19. Two guys I used to watch in the reserves in the 80's that I thought were great but never made it were Jim Gardiner and Mark Caughey. I remember Caughey scoring a hat-trick against Celtic and he was on fire that day. I spoke to Jim Gardiner years ago when he was playing for Swansea and he wasn't very complimentary of wee McLean. Said it was him that never really give him a chance in the first team,
  20. Tight game but Morton will edge it 2-1. Our inability to keep a clean sheet and score more than one goal per game will haunt us yet again. No pitch invasion a la 1991 I suspect.
