It's very suspicious when he has one game left to trigger an extension on his contract.

If he hasn't played before the split it's extremely likely he's at it.

An extension which the Record 'revealed' in January then failed to mention in the follow up Gallagher story. Given that was the only source, I'm thinking it might be shite.

Not what I was saying the other day mind you.

On the other side of the same coin is that no one can receive the ball.  When the ball arrives they are facing our goal, that is where the ball goes back to.

Obviously if the pass was better we would have more options, but it’s not.

Yep. I don't think our passing decision making is as bad as those few posts made out - part of the problem seems to be that the players receiving the ball are frequently out-fought.

Im not so sure, Having watched their highlights I don't think they are. They are losing narrowly 1-0 and we were lucky to beat them. Accies and RC have more metal about them that us. I am now convinced after tonight we are this seasons fall guys. I wonder if GA contract is dependent on us staying up. Maybe we should get Gallaghers agent to get us an escape clause.

They are slowly but surely leaking less goals, we are getting thumped, they are losing narrowly.

Aye true. I'm working on the naïve  assumption we'll start getting some key players back soon. If that's not the case then we're heading doon.

Apparently his new agent challenged the validity of it.

Bear in mind he was sent for a scan on his hamstring injury and there still isn't any time scale for him to return to the pool. In comparison Campbell is listed as ASAP and Donnelly is listed as March.

Alexander quoted as saying hopefully returning to training tomorrow.

It was announced at the AGM.

Was it? None of the reports I've read say that. Not saying the contract being changed isn't true, just that it hasn't been made public.

I really cant see how this Dec business can be true. If he is at the madam, surely the club just strip the guy of the captaincy. No need to sack him, if he chooses not to play again then its on him. Removing the arm band pretty much tells everyone what has happened.

That hasnt be done. No-one at the club has spoken out against him which i find hard to believe would be the case if he was at it. There would always be at least a couple not happy at it.

I have no idea what is going on but if he was coming the cunt and Motherwell are lieing down and letting him do it then the club are as much to blame.

I just cant see it myself.

Agreed - I just can't see one player having that sort of power. In recent years we've proved we aren't mugs when it comes to other clubs trying to flex their muscles - even if it's to a players detriment (Carson, nearing the end of his career, denied a bumper pay check at Celtic), so I'd be astonished if the club let the club Captain feign injury to re-negotiate a contract or avoid an automatic extension. The guy is also risking his place at the Euros.

That said, as much as I've tried to be rational about this, I can't get my head around the Daily Record "source" saying on the 4th of January that he's trying to force a move and that his contact will be extended after 25 games, you've got Alexander being quoted as saying in January "I’ve read about Declan’s situation and we’ll assess it", then after game 24 he gets injured. Maybe the source was talking shite - the extension doesn't exist - and it's sheer coincidence.

The club have no duty to comment on individual employment contracts so I'm not sure what I'd expect them to say here, but the silence is leaving the fans to come up with their own theories.

A little sarcasm on my part (apologies if that wasn't apparent) to draw some of the sting in the immediate aftermath of a shocker. No more than that and does nothing to detract from Johnston's display.

And it also still says Man of the Match immediately underneath the title too.

Oh of course, not having a go - apologies if that's how it came across. I know its just a laugh. I was trying to stress that I thought he was actually very good. Nothing to do with the thread title.

Very few got pass marks let alone MOTM.

The only candidate is Max Johnston, who somehow managed to look like a competent right back given all the carnage going on around him.

Quite a feet for a 17 year old.

    Well done young man.

Yep, jus turned 17 in December as well.

He's definitely worthy of more than 'least worst'. I thought he was very good, got stuck in where others were backing off and is a really sharp passer. Aye, he gave it away a few times but that tended to be when he was trying some more incisive forward passes. Looking forward to seeing more of him.

So, our unavailable list reads like:

Carson, Fox, O'Donnell, Devine, Mugabi, Grimshaw, Donnelly, Lawless, Smith, Foley, Gallagher, Dunne, McGinley.......and counting.

That's brutal. You could make an okay first team out of that, arguably 6/7 first choices in their respective positions.

I don't know what's going on with Gallagher , but talking about scans...

Gareth Bale didn't feature in Spurs squad the other night. He, or someone representing him, posted on Twitter about having a good training session that day, so the media started asking questions. Mourinho said Bale had been for a scan, which came back clear. Despite that, and the advice of physios etc, Mourinho said he can't play a guy who feels/says he's injured.

If Burrows doesn't want to talk about the trigger and the papers didn't just invent it, where do we imagine it came from? And why would it be disclosed for absolutely no reason?

Gallagher's scan came back showing a grade one muscle injury and  the papers invent things all the time - they probably read it on here after someone who is pals with Gallagher's neighbours old window cleaner mentioned it to a dog.

What you and a few others are speculating is the biggest fuck you this club will have probably ever had from a player. The club captain feigning injury during a relegation fight and jeopardising his place the Euros so he can leave on a free.

I get why a few folk are asking the question - and to be honest, after the abuse the guy got after the Hapoel game I wouldn't blame him if his affinity to the club was damaged - but it all just seems a bit far fetched.

Is your login Forename-Surname-Season Ticket No.  This would suggest you have a ticket.

When I login there is access to the Kilmarnock match for international fans and a link to the Hamilton match for us.  Then links to previous games under Latest.

If its the Killie game you want to watch you'll need to create an account on their PPV site and pay for a pass there. Can't get live video for away games through the motherwell site (unless your abroad)

Just checked my account there and the link for Hamilton Home game is showing.  Just make sure you are logged into the live site and it should be there. Your username will be as ropy has said above, password will be your season ticket number unless you changed it.

Cheers folks. I'd been logging in with the wrong username - turns out I've got 3 accounts. The club got back to me with the right login which is the forename-username-surname thing Ropy suggested.

  11. 45 minutes ago, Heisenboab said:

The live one is for season tickets I'm sure. PPV is for buying one off passes for those without the season tickets. The sites look pretty much identical. I had the same issue and it was driving me mad 5mins before kick off and couldn't log on!

    15 minutes ago, ropy said:

Correct and it is the same format for most other clubs if you are watching an away game.

    Cheers!

When I log onto the live site,  it's only got listings for audio commentary, live video streams outside the UK and gives me subscription options for these. Is that correct? Absolutely nothing on the page or the account settings to suggest I've actually got a season ticket? Will the season ticket stream appear nearer kick off?

  12. Needing a wee hand here -

Is it the ppv.motherwell.co.uk season ticket holders use to stream? There's also the live.motherwell.co.uk site, but I'm sure that's for other stuff. I've got accounts for both, but for some reason on Wednesday I had to buy a pass to watch the Killie game when  I logged into the PPV site. Not sure if I've accidentally logged into a different account but it's definitely linked to my season ticket number.

These things are never kept quiet...if say Campbell had signed a PCA with Millwall, his parents would know his pals would know, he would tell close team mates, office staff would find out etc etc.

I honestly think its highly unlikely

Yeah, you're probably right. I'm just not sure what Robinsons motivation would be to make something like that up.

  14. 2 hours ago, 0Neils40yarder said:

Because these things usually 'leak'. I'm sure one of the 'in the know' types would have found out by now.

    True.

I did wonder if Robinson advised players (and others) to keep pre-contracts tightly under wraps after the reaction Hastie got. I know that's part of the game, but when it affects players the manager will do what they can do manage the situation.
