    The Duke

Real shame we couldn't get him back; did a fine job and will be remembered forever for THAT goal! Best of luck kidda!
  2. Aye but usually the other kid is better...... I'm afraid The Holy Faither will get a tour of Castle Greyskull before we get any cash from the Welsh mafia....

Have to say I thought it was a lacklustre performance from the majority of the team, bar Lasley and Jennings. Can't believe folks on here thought Forbes had a good game, he was absolutely useless; no creativity, rarely looked up when passing the ball, looked lost for large periods of the game and had no pace or desire to tackle or track back... That aside he had a blinder!! I was struggling towork out the pros and ther partimers.... Hope for a vast improvement in the land of ice....
  4. Yeah plus the fact he was wearing a ball boy tracky and for some reason was holding a Well scarf....
  5. He was one of the ball boys who was a Well fan for the day
  6. Sooo cynical!!! But probably quite true! Be interesting to see if the transfer coffers are bulked up by this!
  7. Couldn't agree more. I came up from Sheffield with a load of Blades fans(and a solitary Mansfield lad); went out in Embra on the Friday, got pished and ended up visiting an old friend Saturday came across to Wishaw, bus into the stadium and bumping into faces I hadn't seen in 10years' the blur of the game, pacing up and down the back of the terracing praying for the final whistle, getting stranded as the tit that was the bus driven got LOST!!!! cadging lifts from all and sundry to get back and getting even more pished on the Sat. Too many memories to put here but always brings a smile to my face even as has been said above alot of the faces there that day are gone now. All the English lads loved it and still talk about "the best final" they'd ever seen... Mind you being Blades/Stags fans glory is a bit in short supply
  8. Yeah it's a shame cos the Dalziel ground was an ideal location far better than where it is now up at Cleland....
  9. Yep, that sounds like a usual weekender for the locals. our ground aint bad, reminds me of the old Motherwell ground up Dalziel estate and like that our clubhouse got burnt to the ground by some yoofs...
  10. We occasionally have the oiks from the loacal estate serving us at tea.... Gives them something to do....
  11. Nope sorry mate, my season doesnt start until the end of May...
  12. I'll be playing that pish boring rancid poofy 'sport' for Edinburgh South CC every Saturday till August
  13. A bit of reality here... DUFC were entitled to field any players, they wanted to today. It's a shame that clearly Yogi's fuds were up for it more than them. Houston and his team owe us nothing and owe it to their fans to win the cup next week, so whilst I fully understand folk being pissed off, we'd have been quite happy to watch our under 19's having a run around if the shoe were on the other foot! Just hope the inbred feckers win next week
  14. Have to agree that the Hibs front 3 and midfield outplayed us for the 1st 20 mins, but let's be right my wee boy's nursery team could've taken the piss out of our lot at that point.... Barcelona-esque?? wouldn't gothat far our lads appeared to have been thinking they were on their hols... A classic tale of 2 halves......
  15. You pay your money and you make your choice whether to continue watching complete and utter pish or sit and hope that things can get better.... Have been at worse displays than that and have stupidly sat through it all.... 1 - 7 against Shellic a long time ago comes to mind! To the neutral it must have been fantastic, to Well fans it's what we've come to expect.... sublime and ridiculous in the same breath! Best bit for me was watching that rank tosser Hughes' face as his cheating thugs lost a 4 goal lead!! In years to come you can say you were there; and some folk can say they left early......

    New Manager

Yep just read it, and can't say I'm too shocked at that! Fair play to JB, he's no doubt been talking to Brownie in the lead up to this. Safe pair of hands till next season...

    Paul Mcgrillen

Really shocked and saddened like everyone by this news. I thought he was a fine player in the claret and amber and should never have been sold by McLeish. My thoughts are with his Family. RIP Paul McGrillen.
  21. 4 - 0 to the men of steel...... There will be a resolution from the team that despite the culling of our playing staff, they still have what it takes to impress the new manager..... Mark my words 4 - 0
  22. Just spoken to Shellic buddy who has said that the top brass at their midden have looked into spending some dosh and have made tentative enquiries with the ex Ajax boss, Marco Van Basten. Seems to be a change in direction for them!!!!
