He was assistant coach at Scotland so he can't be that bad.
So was Paul Hegarty!

€11 to get in to Fortuna Dusseldorf v Energie Cottbus
€15 to get in to the Hamburg end(terrace) at the Veltins- Arena for FC Schalke v Hamburg.
Pints available throughout the game.
£40 for the trip.
Cost is not much more than your average away trip in Scotland minus the hassle. Two games, one in one of the best stadiums in the World featuring two excellent teams. What would you rather do?
What's the point though if you don't support either of the teams?

Forbes didn't lose possession all that much be he was more than happy to put some of his team mates under pressure by passing them the ball when they were being pressed or marked in bad areas.

Just back no really read much else on the thread but here's my thoughts...
Tonight confirmed that we are definitely in for a long season. Dundee Utd were better than us, particularly in midfield. They did everything quicker, closing down, tackling, getting the ball up to the forwards etc etc.
We, on the other hand, were dire. Every time we had possession in a decent area the inability to take a decent touch or play a simple 5 yards pass cost us. Almost every time we had the opportunity to counter attack a dodgy pass would allow united to get four or five bodies back behind the ball. In the second half Craigan and Hately persisted in putting us under pressure by giving the ball away in dangerous areas. Dundee Utd have a far better squad than us, fair enough, but when you fail with the basics you're always going to struggle.
Ross Forbes is not good enough to be anywhere near this team. He's weak, slow, and generally one of the most unathletic players I've ever seen. I could live with it if he was providing something with his technique, but whenever any pressure is put on him he passes the ball straight back to where it came from. He's a shitebag.
On the plus side, Randolph was magic again and Murphy did really well even though (yet again) he was being played out wide.
Edit: Pretty much identical to the boy above me

Big Porter was class, a proper predatory striker.
-
Fair enough, he wasn't interested after Brown left so get him to fuck.
-
The FJW as manager of the national side; 4-6-0 and all that.
That was definitely the the worst of the worst.
-
That's easy. The cash.

Is this not better than having this dragging on for weeks and weeks, when we are at a critical point in our season? This way we can keep focused on our on-the-field issues.

Is probably the kindest word you can use to sum up the ref's performance tonight. I don't doubt that Hearts deserved to win (although I only saw the 2nd half), but there were a few shitey decisions plus a couple that defied belief.
How can you give that first penalty and then turn down the 2nd one which surely was much more clear cut?
How can you play on when Rudi Scakel stands less than a yard in front of the ball when we're trying to take a free kick?
And that Jennings sending off, it's just plain weird. It has to be the worst sendings off in the entire history of football.
Fucking pissed off.

The dive is more impresive than the free kick!
-
I'm looking forward to it already!

Any highlights going to be available? Wouldn't mind seeing that Hearts game.

craig brown was in bed for 9 o'clock.

Either way, it should make for a cracking atmosphere, really looking forward to this now.

Why don't we calm down 'til we know the facts? Could be two groups of guys arguing amongst themselves having a scrap, the polis get called and that's the end of it.

Slow and Obvious
Read, Lasley & Forbes
Relax. Enjoy the goal.

Just for the record, I'd assume Reynolds doesn't just stroll in when he likes and is told to be at Fir Park for a certain time. So it's nothing to do with him.

Folk are going to think I'm talking pish here, but this guy and his agent pulled up next to me as I was walking to Fir Park for the Bredablik game and asked for directions to the ground.

I noticed Hibs pumped Dunfermline 4-0 yet we've had 3 pre season games had no clean sheets & not even nearly pumped anyone. And it has to be said Dunfermline are far better quality than the teams we played. I know it's only pre season & we are building up for a Euro tie but so its the same for Hibs & they can still put on a performance. Even if we do manage to win our Euro tie (by no means a certainty) i fear come the first game of the season we will really struggle to beat Hibs unless we can add a new striker.
That is fucking amazing. You actually managed to surprise me right there, well done man. I thought I'd seen all manner of pish on this site but that really takes the biscuit.
We are in for a very tough game on Thursday, Today was extremely disappointing in the sense that we are less than a week away from a crucial European tie, and the players don't look anywhere near match fit. I reckon if they score over here then it's tie over, underestimate this mob at your peril.
On the plus side it was a cracking day out and I was right pissed, 'Mon the 'well!

All she did was mention a wee story about him.

Pollock came on against Dundee Utd and looked miles away from being a first team player.
