We've all written about poor performances due to bonuses, playing out of position, not liking the manager etc etc etc. I'm coming round to thinkin that some in our squad are plain old shite. Just shite footballers. I know he's gone now. But what the fuck was Anthony Straker all about. Plus giving Josh Law a two year deal. Is it just me or is that fucking insane. We have some real pish in our ranks at the moment. I reckon it's salvageable, and relegation isn't a foregone conclusion. But at what financial cost.

One things for sure, it's been controversial. It's brought out some extreme emotions. This place would be in absolute melt down if it was Craig Brown that was appointed. Most folk have a degree of sense and truth in their reactions, even the very-extreme ones.

Well, at least it's confirmed. The Baraclough era has been a bit of fucking disaster as far as personnel goes. The main scout guy - gone. The man himself - gone. This fitness guy - gone. Steve Robinson - looking like he be gone. Anthony Straker - did he really happen? Did we not lose a physio or an I making that up?

I'll be interested to see who McGhee rates and who he doesn't. Baraclough, for the most part of his career, was working with players that were a level or two below those which McGhee has worked with, as such I'm expecting McGhees standard to be higher. He mentioned he's been taking in a lot of EPL matches as part of his Scotland role. He's obviously also been closely with the Scotland squad. I wonder what he will make of the likes of Law, Grimshaw, Taylor, Clarkson, Robinson, Twardzik, Ripley etc.

Put simply, worst comes to worst for some and he will have us playing decent and in top 3/4/5/6 and another club takes him. Beats the arse off the stress, strain and outright miserable state of affairs of last seasons play off crescendo. And if we remain as shite as we are then no one will come looking at him and no one needs to worry about that aspect. The only thing to worry about will be relegation and all the catastrophic problems that brings.

If it's McGhee I'll be pretty happy with that. As experienced and successful as a club like us could probably hope for in the current circumstances. And like many others id be quite keen to see what he can do with this squad because I think it has talent that we've not seen yet. If McGhee can make a winger from Patterson then I'd love to see what he can do with Ainsworth and Johnson.

I see the Bookies have mostly all now got McGhee at 2/1 from about 12/1 yesterday.

McGhee would have been in the Algarve last night. Is OTF telling us and we are just missing it? I don't know. But I am excited.
