He only splits opinion in so far as I have seen a few negative comments about Polworth in here. And in a way that suggests he is a weak link. Me I think he has been a fantastic signing and if he could only have an end product in terms of goals he would be even better. His passing is as good as I have seen at Fir Park but his finishing is awful. I think back to that miss in Dingwall - I would have scored that.

I just read an article about Brian Graham transfer to Thistle from Ross County. It states he turned down offers from Killie, St Johnstone and Motherwell ! He was such a nuisance for us I could believe it. But seems a little strange all the same.

McCall is quoted as saying Thistle offered him a 2 and a half year deal and none of the premiership teams did. Which, at 32, is ok with me.

  2. The Vyner and Leigh midfield that McInnes lucked out on that day due to injuries haven't really played in that format regularly since.  Took everyone by surprise including Aberdeen how well that worked...

Donnelly for O'Hara. Grimmy for Tait will do me.

Win would be smashing, point will do nicely too.

Donnelly does give us that physical presence in midfield and you always expect him to win any 50/50 tackle which must give the other players a boost and you could sense that when he came on last night because at that point Dundee were really in the game,

Yeah agreed, add in that he can pick out a pass and also has a great shot on him then he replaces O'Hara for me next game no question.

Its a reported fact , you 've clearly not seen many/any of the reports , and its probably best to stop assuming and adding detail like implying it was his wife, when its clearly been reported (in statements of fact)  it was his partner even naming her

CCTV element isn't reported anywhere I don't think?  Either way if CCTV is involved it could be pretty cut and dry  whatever way it goes.

    Not overly excited by that

Not a huge fan of bringing in loan players who are young/yet to prove themselves as weve plenty of our own in the same bracket probably. I prefer loan players to be folk who can hit the ground running.

However, right in our sweet spot. Young (21), been out on a couple of loans (Killie, Gillingham) , never really setting the heather on fire but has pace and some obvious talent.

I get that as well never been on offical site since it changed over . We both must have shitty phones.

Try clearing your cache perhaps. After I did originsll that it's generally fine.  The odd white page but refreshing usually gets rid. Using chrome on a Samsung S8.

  7. If that deal goes through then  I'm sure will get some increased scrutiny over and above what is already happening with the club/MLS/FIFA.

Cadden going to MLS for a nil/minimal fee, then, on loan to Oxford straight away, which everybody thought would turn into a cheap way to get him permanently is one thing. If it turns out Oxford pay a million quid for the player then that's something else completely....

Do you agree, "if he is in training and is part of the squad , you expect him to be in the club gear and with the squad",

I think that's where we differ mainly, as I couldnt really care less where anyone sits or what they wear.  Each to their own and all that though.

I'm aware of where the Squad sit ,   I'm afforded a very decent view of the area  (and its not behind the hospitality, which populates the South side of P.O'D)

Not to get into seat and row numbers but with your view, sounding similar to mine, you'll know that the number of squad and under 20s in that stand varies from game to game. Usually mainly behind the directors box area but often spreading out further towards the south end behind hospitality if they all sit in a big row. It's all in the middle area of saft seats. My main point being he's sitting in the same general area as everyone else. It's not like he's in a box by himself in a huff!

Anyway, for me, it seems a small thing to get a bit annoyed about when there is nothing to it.

But each to their own as I said - lets leave it there for 2020!

He is still not "fit enough" to even wear a club tracksuit and sit with the squad in the main stand, on match days

The squad, and unders, sit spread across the full middle section behind hospitality and dierctors box. He's always in that area and in the players lounge after like most.   No need to look for trouble or a story when there is nothing there to find...unless of course your just annoyed he chooses not to wear trackies.

  10. Started really well, and I think we had the first half no bother, not just 20 to 25 minutes. Accies changed their system and contained us a bit more latterly in the first half but I still thought we were on top.

However, we didn't come out after the break for whatever reason and the change to 3 at the back was uneeded and made it worse by unsettling us. We did the same v Hearts and just got away with it that time.

Just before the changes I had said we needed to be looking at Polworth and one of Scott and Hylton, but not all 3 as it would leave us with absolutely no players to take the ball forward.  Robinson was restricted from the bench so I can maybe understand the change of system from that point of view but it was too much change of shape for no real reason  for me and almost immediately that showed when we conceded.

We've won a number of games by the odd goal and not playing well. The sign of a good team.. but it doesn't always go that way forever. PPerhapsa good shot in the arm for players and management ahead of the second half of the season....

    I'd go with

    Carson

    Tait

    Hartley

    Gallagher

    Carroll

    Donnelly

    Campbell

    Polworth

    Cole

    Long
    Hylton

I like Mugabi and I reckon he was in ahead of Hartley on merit on Sunday as opposed to any fitness/illness issues, but I think he was poor at the weekend and Hartley deserves to come back in.

Kilmarnock haven't scored in their last three, and with Aberdeen and Hibs both playing the Old Firm this weekend is massive. We could be 11 points clear of 5th on Saturday night. Time for us to show we're good enough for a top 4 finish. 2-0 to us!

Wouldn't be against that starting 11. However, if Gillespie is extending (seems to be) and Carson is therefore leaving I'd not make that change. If both are still not sure then I'd make the change.

If the prior club had a sell on clause I would expect them to get a percentage of all proceeds we get for him, so a percentage of a transfer fee and the same percentage of any sell on fee.  And I expect to get the same if a player we sell gets sold on and on again.

I wouldn't. Entirely depends on the contracts agreed.

All the more annoying was the fact that therefore were 3 polis standing 5 yards along from it doing nowt about it.

To be fair (sorry), the stewards and polis made quite a big effort to get them to shift it before the game started and just after kick off. Tried to get in but then seemed to back off. Probably to do with the fact they were crowding the polis and stewards out and given it was the front of the top tier maybe not the best idea to steam in for the sake of a flag or two.

  14. Slightly off topic but Hylton is a different player to Hastie I'd say, more of a tricky winger, so not directly comparable. Seedorf is more like Jake though. Strong, direct, has a worldy in him, young and learning (forget sometimes Sherwin is only 21). Not much between them imo.

On Hastie,  now warming the bench at Rotherham, last started 19th Oct after a promising  run and flurry of goals in his first few games...sound familiar?  I don't particularly have any ill will to the lad like some do but looks like he still has a lot of developing to do like most said. Just wish he had being doing it here.

Back to the game, Hearts are shite, we've got the shites, 2-0 'Well. Teams with sickness bugs 'spreading through the squad's always win. Bookmark it.

  15. There was so much mis-information/guessing going about in June and July that I think a lot held on to a September or October best case scenario return.

The September thing came about originally I think because his op was referred to as similar to Suarez when he had a knee op on his meniscus. Not even sure it was similar but I do remember reading that. Suarez came back very quickly:  https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-27940923

You also had media reports sayng anywhere between 3 and 6 months as of 2ndJuly which I think is the real cause and some hope from some hed be back end of Sept: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/david-turnbull-shares-upbeat-image-17369733.amp
