  1. Doesn't look as though we can expect a lot of goals from him but he looks speedy and we've been crying out for a quick winger. Going by the video posted above he's not scared to take a player on but he could be doing with improving his crossing. We were never going to sign the finished article but it looks as though there's plenty to work with. It's certainly more promising than Calvin Miller.

Also, the video is from his Chesterfield days so he may have improved his final ball since then.

  2. For all the names mentioned, this deal is completely out of the blue.

I like it when we manage to keep our business under wraps, all the leaks seem a bit unprofessional (although they do keep things interesting).

It's nice to add a bit of pace - we've been missing the sort of out and out pace that terrifies defenders and makes teams change their shape since Johnson and Humphrey before that.

Because that is from another league. You can only loan one player from a team in your own league i.e. one Celtic player, one Hearts player, etc, etc.

Yeah, I had assumed that. There must be a limit to cross-border loans though. I'm guessing 5 or Ashley would have pushed it further in Rangers' case.

  4. The BBC are reporting Falkirk have signed midfielder Abdul Osman who I remember being touted on here as a possible signing for us a while back.

A footnote to the same article states that Falkirk have completed a deal for Ross McLean, whichI'm sure will be a surprise to no-one.

That actually made me do a LOL ...... You’ve started a little earlier than normal Dewell. Is that the same logic as turning down a bunk up wi Gal Gadot because she might have a smelly fufu?

I am not familiar with Gal Gadot but assume there would be perfectly enjoyable  things you could do with her other than smelling her fufu if that's a problem . Likewise I'd like to think we could change things around to accommodate a player of McCormick's calibre so he doesn't have to do huge amounts of running if that's an issue.

  6. No offence intended although I don't think I or anyone else went nuts. I wasn't at the game so didn't see the incident to put the question into context so apologies if it was a genuine question.

I also don't sit in the POD so don't get to appreciate the same view you do!

  7. Does she normally carry out pitch duties on match days? I'm not certain but I don't think she does so there may not have been any reason at all.  If there is anything going on (and I'm not privy to insider information) then it's not really football related. Transfer rumours etc. are a different matter and the wilder the rumours the better!

SURELY they will have separate turnstiles for those with tickets and those paying at the gate? This caused chaos the last time I was there :(

They had separate queues the last time I was there. The problem was that the vast majority of people had bought tickets so were standing in massive queues whereas those paying at the gate joined a very short queue to the obvious consternation of ticket buyers.

I doubt we'll see Andy Rose again. There's no point in jeopardising his move.

McHugh has had a couple of rests recently so he'll probably play.

I thought one of the statements said that Rose was looking forward to making a contribution in the remaining games. Might be media talk and it would be interesting to see if he would be giving it 100%.

  10. Also, Scott Mullen has an interview on the BBC website with Curtis Main who is waiting until January to consider contract options.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46160094

Motherwell striker Curtis Main says he will assess his future in January, despite his Fir Park contract having just eight months left to run.

Main signed from Portsmouth in January and has scored 12 goals in 36 games, including two in last season's Scottish Cup semi-final win over Aberdeen.

The Englishman's deal expires at the end of the campaign, but he is relaxed about the situation.

"I've got no reason why I wouldn't want to stay up here," he told BBC Scotland.

"I'm really settled off the field and I'm really enjoying it so we'll probably go along until January and the situation will be assessed then.

"We have to concentrate on getting things right on the pitch and the off-field stuff will be discussed at the relevant time."

Main made his senior debut with Darlington at the age of 15, and had spells with Middlesbrough and Doncaster Rovers.

His move to Motherwell at the start of the year brought him his first taste of football outside of England, and the striker insists he is loving life in Lanarkshire.

"I'm enjoying the whole world of Scottish football," he said. "It's just a different challenge compared to the rest of my career.

"Financially there's a huge gulf but it can make up for that in terms of exposure if you're performing well. It's a great platform to showcase what you're all about. That's definitely a plus.

"We had quite a few special moments that year in the cup and to walk out on our way to stay over before the cup final, it was brilliant to see all the fans and how much it means to people."
