  1. We did really well to defend against a very direct Hertz team (funny how the media don't describe them as such). Dirty big Ukpezia (or what ever he is called) and diving little Naismith. Could not have been a better outcome and to hear Levein so down has made my day.

On to us we certainly put a shift in and were always in the game. A point would have been acceptable but you have to buy a ticket to win it and well done Turnbull for giving it a go. What a goal from Hastie (the Bale DVD is in the post Jake). Very entertaining and Robinson deserves credit for giving the youth a chance. So exciting to go to Fir Park again.

  2. Not his biggest fan but he does have the habit of getting the team to put in a performance every so often. So frustrating he can't seem to get them to do so on a regular basis.

His team selection last night was brave, and it worked. Lets hope he sticks with this set up and gets the players playing with this intensity  for the remainder of the season. It was a pleasure to be at the game last night.

  3. I find the criticism of Main surprising. He played well last night held the ball up and gave McGregor a torrid time. I do understand folks frustrations he does not score enough but i would argue he was a major contributor to our style of play last night by holding the ball up and allowing our midfield to get on the ball.

Overall a superb performance with particular standouts for me being Gorrin, Grimshaw, Turnbull, Campbell and Hastie. Only complaint would be that Campbell was really tiring towards the last 15 mins and should have been subbed. But overall very pleased and Robinson should be commended for the chance in team shape and style of play.

Just watched it now. Trying to hide the wee tear in the eye from the wife.

Some contrast from making sure I don't see sportscene in case I have to witness an of yesterdays clusterfuck.

You are lucky it was on last night. You can come out from behind the sofa.

Those stating we should have accepted his resignation - assuming this happened, have to realise it would have been based on his contract being paid up. Why else would you leave a well paid job for nothing ? I very much doubt we have a spare £150k+ or whatever to pay him off. That plus his remit is probably to avoid relegation and cup runs. Apart from yesterday he has achieved that much in his tenure thus far.

I thought if you resign you don't get contract settlement. Perhaps club suspected he had something else lined up and wanted compo.

You see again “ deserting in droves” where is the evidence this is actually happening ?

I was stating this if we continue to play this way and we are relegated. However, I will also bite on current position. Only c3,500 for a cup game yesterday.  Also, just read posts about fans not bothering to go. Let's see home attendance on Wednesday night. We have cushion on high ST sales but how many will renew if he is still around (I won't).

Let's be careful what we wish for. This season has been a big big letdown both in terms of results and quality of play. Lets face it we are a 'small club' in terms of who we can bring in. The players that have come in this year have not been as successful as the previous year. The time to make decisions on the management is at the end of the season, making a change now would be a huge gamble.

Let's hope with this strategy we are not looking for a SPL Championship standard manager with fans deserting in droves.

I agree with you on that big stall. I agree we've got the players capable of beating county and comfortably avoiding relegation. But we're not doing it.

What gets me is in his interview Robinson almost excuses it by referring to having lost kipre and moult (and also bowman?). Well I don't see a Moult or kipre in county's team, just a team able to play together and wanting to win the game. He refers to the injured cadden, tanner etc.... well this was his strategy to strengthen 12-18, rather than making fewer quality signings. The excuses are not acceptable and directly contradict either his philosiphy, or what he is pointing to as a positive.

Nothing against him as a guy.... forever grateful for digging us out a hole in 2017 and of course the 2 cup final season, but without a doubt we're going backwards.

    I blame the fans.

no of course not but if you cannot see how negativity affects players then you are blind.

new signings affected us because robinson felt pressured to play them when he admitted they werent fit. We were also on a bit of a high after winning derby in last game so players that then sat out would not have been happy.

is that enough for you to understand?

So let me get this right, the players are shit and we sit and politely applaud , Play up the well. Happy Clappers unite.

Can’t remember a game where Stephen Robinson was so motionless particularly in the 2nd half (I wasn’t watching him closely  during the 1st half), there was little or none of his usual shouting/gesturing/talking with his staff, looked as though he was watching the game but his mind was on other things. Like when do I pack this in?

On his way to luton hopefully!!!
