If the source close to Gallagher is a journalist just stirring it, you'd wonder how they knew the details of that clause in his contract. If it doesn't actually exist, mibbe he'd feel the need to say something about it. If.

Exactly, a lot of ifs. My point being that an unnamed source in the DR is as reliable as my mate's pal's buddy's friend. Innocent until proven guilty and all that.

  2. Has Dec actually said he wants to leave? I may have missed it elsewhere but the Record article only mentions "a source close to the player". By their usual standards of credibility, that could apply to one of their journos that lives in Blantyre.

Hypothetical situation - Gallagher is now free to discuss terms with other clubs due to being in last 6 months of his contract. What happens if he signs a pre-contract, and then triggers the renewal clause in his current contract?

we have two* first team squad players isolating, would we be seeking a match this week?

*potentially more if they did catch it

I've missed this I think, who are the 2 players?

Interesting that Falkirk is charging £14 for Division 1 games.

Little bit off-topic here, but I've found all the PPV chat down in England quite interesting recently.  £14.95 for a game that ordinarily wouldn't be on the TV is apparently too steep for an English football fan, with Scottish football fans seemingly with a lot more disposable cash these days.

Fair enough, still doesn't seem like the right outcome to me, though. There's already enough to be worrying about this season without the risk of something coming down to goal difference being decided on who happened to be awarded a random 3-0 forfeit.

This is my thinking also. Fines or point deductions fair enough (if it's proven that clubs have been negligent in their responsibilities) but anything that impacts clubs other than the guilty party is a very dangerous precedent.

  6. I’m hesitant to start the finger pointing as I’m sure this won’t be the last outbreak at a club, and it could very well be us next. If so, I’d like to think we weren’t trying to pull the wool and so unless these league inquiries show that’s what St Mirren and Killie have been doing I’ll reserve judgement.

On a separate note, do one of the St Mirren players not live with one of the Hamilton players?

With Dykes missing the next match I’d be tempted - dispute my dislike of him -  to bring Lee Griffiths in if he continues to get game time at Celtic.

If Griffiths is fit and playing, I'd have him up front with Dykes. He's one of those players that you always feel is going to score against you when he plays us and despite whatever your personal views on him are, he's the best natural finisher we have as a nation.

All part of the media myth that claims McInnes is a great manager. Yet with all the resources at his disposal, he couldn't beat the worst Celtic team in years.

To be fair to him, the worst Celtic team in years still had multiple times the resources that Aberdeen would've had.

I wouldnt want their jobs either, but just some scientific explanation for not allowing some restricted crowds...I know I am like a broken record but football is played  and watched outside

Explanation is given daily. If you don't already, you should watch one or two of the live briefings. Many others on this thread have summarised much better than I could. Being outside does not mean you are free from risk, nor does it mean you are free from bringing risk to others. Going to watch live football is a hobby, there are other industries much worse hit than football that also contribute more to the economy.

Without meaning to sound like a dick, and this isn't directed at you specifically but more to the broader section of population that "just don't get it", but if you still haven't seen the bigger picture and understood the risk/reward decisions that need to be made by every single government in the world on a daily basis then I don't think you ever will.

I have seen reports that we are looking for a goalkeeper to cover for the unfortunate Scott Fox. Perhaps young Morrison's call up to the Scotland Under 21 squad ( congratulations and good luck to the lad ) might make them think again? No point spending money to cover a contingency when there are obvious deficiencies, requiring more urgent action, elsewhere in the squad.

I'd rather we signed cover and sent PJ out on loan. He may be a capable understudy to Carson, but will grow more getting a regular game elsewhere I think.
