  1. I noticed on Sportscene that Livi wore an all-black away kit on Saturday with Ross County wearing what looked like the Livi home kit, all yellow.

I know they have agreements in place about the number of times they can wear away kits but I'm old school, unless the first strips clash then just wear them.

  2. I also remember a game at Fir Park, the last game of the season,  when St Johnstone had to win to stay up. and we needed the win to clinch second.

I'm sure they beat us 2-1 allowing Aberdeen to pip us for 2nd. At the end their 'keeper Andy Rhodes (Jordan's auld man) was giving it big licks with his celebrations in front of the Well fans until word came through that other results had gone against them and they'd still been relegated on goal difference.

  3. It'll be interesting to see if Bevis Mugabi will be selected for Uganda's World Cup qualifiers and, if so, if we release him. They have games in Kenya and at home in Uganda coming up, both are on the UK red-list, so require quarantine on return.

A few EPL clubs stating they won't release players unless the need to quarantine on return is dropped. Includes Liverpool who will stop Salah going to Egypt for a game and who also have 3 Brazil players in their squad.

I obviously have no idea, so instead I'll start a rumour based on this season's Macron templates and say we will see a variant of this one:

A good guess weeyin? Now revealed on Club Twitter account.

  5. The criticism of O'Donnell is over the top, his performance last night wasn't his best but was of a similar level to that of most of his team-mates.

I've seen a few posters on here parroting the meedja line that Nathan Patterson should be in the team from this point forward (and in some cases that he should have played the 3 Euros matches). Worth pointing out that he has played 7 senior matches for the Buns. 7.  He may turn out to be another Cafu but I think he needs to prove it at domestic level over a longer period than that before he's heralded as the next big thing.

But then how many players have we seen struggle to get a game for Scotland then become a regular in the squad as soon as they sign for one of the ugly sisters. Whatever happened to Lewis Morgan?

Motherwell target four summer signings from down southL

LanarkshireLive Sport understands the Fir Park club are looking at a goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and a striker

Motherwell are believed to be interested in bolstering their squad with four players from down south.

Welsh international goalkeeper Tom King, Irish defender Darragh O'Connor, midfielder Joe Muscatt and striker Shayon Harrison are believed to be on the Fir Park club's shopping list

King, 26, is at Newport County and although he played for England at under-17 level, he was called up for the Welsh national team in 2019 for Euro 2020 qualifying matches against Azerbaijan and Hungary.

Former Waterford and Shamrock under-19 defender O'Connor, 21, is currently at Leicester City under-23s.

Muscatt, 23, an English midfielder with a Maltese passport, started his career with Tottenham Hotspur as a youth and moved to Bolton, but is currently with Paderborn II in Germany.

Forward Harrison (23) is currently with English League One side AFC Wimbledon, but spent nearly two years with Almere City in Holland.

Motherwell have taken their pre-season signings so far to three, with Kaiyne Woolery and Justin Amaluzor coming in after Connor Shields was snapped up from Queen of the South.

Obviously been reading this site and P&B.

I take it there's a few signed but we're giving each signing their own media/press release each day.

Which I quite enjoy as an approach, gives us stuff to get excited about.

Can't we just get the tractor out and get a group photo of them in the one go?

I’m pretty sure Rangers had more red cards that season than us. Did Bowman really have that bad a record, not that it recollect. The whole hammer throwers line was nonsense.

Bowman was never a dirty player, he was tarred with that reputation after a tackle on Kieran Tierney at Parkhead a few months before that Semi Final. Rodgers slated him after that game and the press were only too happy to run with it.

I kind of get what he means. Yes two cup finals, but they were pretty devoid of footballing entertainment from our point of view. And while I know a lot of folk think things like big Ryan bursting Cardoso's nose was hilarious, I'd much rather watch us running rings round teams than battering them off the park.

I think you've been listening to St Brendan, Rangers and  the Scottish press if your takeaway from that Cup Semi is that we relied on physicality rather than playing football.

  10. Johnson is well out of our range wage wise.

I also seem to remember his agent was a pain in the arse trying to work the move to Oxford from the start of the 2016/17 season, putting in a transfer request and slagging off the club in the press for demanding a decent fee.

While I could believe the likes of Moult may see a return to FP as a chance to rebuild his career after his injury I can't imagine Johnson would be happy to pitch back up the The Ark.

The best Well team I've seen was the onev of the mid 70s. Guys  like Watson, Millar, McVie, McClaren, Davidson, Marinello  Graham and   Pettigrew. That team had everything but won nothing.

I still have nightmares about the 2 Semi defeats, the replay v Airdrie when Stuart Rennie was penalised for taking too many steps with the ball and the 'JPR Gordon' Rangers game.
