Never a penalty for me.
-
Absolute shambles for their goal but we settled down as the half went on. Tait getting absolutely roasted down the right by windass and Wallace though...change to a back 4 required asap!
Good equaliser by us and could have had a penalty, although windass has hit the woodwork twice. They still look suspect defensively when we get on behind but if we don't sort the right side we will lose.

Looks like a 3-5-2. Moult and Heneghan both start but no Bigi in the squad.
-
To add to Milo's post above...from BBC.

Technically you are right including them in the first team but I personally wouldn't include Blyth or Watt as genuine first team players as it's more than likely both are finished at the club.
I would still class Hastie and Livingstone as predominantly U20's but obviously with the potential to break into the first team given their exposure towards the end of last season.
That gives us 23 (I think) including the younger guys like Gordon, Campbell and Maclean who are still eligible for the under 20's, which I think is about right.
I wonder if we'll see one of either Campbell or Gordon go out on loan this season or perhaps the likes of Turnbull who looks impressive from the 20's highlights.

I'm glad the manager team are actively trying to change that. I was generally a McGhee fan but he really began to bug me towards the end of his tenure when it seemed like every game we set up to nullify the opposition and try not to lose, even at home to the likes of St J and Dundee.Good point. Lasley implied on the MFC podcast that we had lost our way in recent years by adjusting our game to nullify the opposition, rather than focusing on our own strengths.
Not sure what to expect from the Rangers on Sunday but I don't think they are anything we should fear. I think we'll stick with 3 at the back and hopefully Moult will be fit to give atleast 60 mins.
Think it'll be fairly close, I'll go for 1-1. Tanner for us before Miller (obviously) equalises.

Significant growth in Season Ticket sales for the new campaign
Great news!
With the south standing holding about 4,500 iirc, approx 3,500 season tickets means just over one third of the home seats will be filled with season ticket holders

Nice one, great idea.
I think I'll restrict my votes to those players I've actually seen play, so from about 1996 onwards.
Andy - would you prefer people not to post their lists on the forum so as to not give an indication of how the voting is going?

Am I right in saying that the probability of 12 home ties on the trot is 1 in 4,096? Maybe the statisticians on this board could verify this?
Yup i believe that's right. 2 to the power of 12.
Or another way to word it is Rangers are jammy bastards.

Away to Ross County.

If Scott McDonald likes to moan and complain about team mates that aren't up to his standard, then on the evidence of the Dundee derby, he'll have plenty to moan about.
Mind you, Dundee look don't look great either...
Thought Dundee looked much better going forward in the second half. Allan is a good player and the guy Wolters who came on looked decent. However, with that finishing a draw does that means we're the only Premiership team with a 100% record?
-
I agree, McCulloch is doing some interesting business. The likes of Burke, if he can stay fit, Erwin, Boyd and Jones should offer them a fair amount going forward and they have Kiltie, Taylor etc as the young guys coming through.
Can't say I know much about their back line but if the forward players can click they should be challenging for the top 6.

Were Oldham not League 1 last year?

Great news and means our new captain is committed to the club!
This is the bit we all really really like though.....
We continue to discuss extended terms with other players in the squad and hopefully well have some good news there too.
Interesting isn't it? As far as I know, Moult is the only other we've actively been looking to extend. Unless we're talking to Heneghan behind the scenes maybe.
Excellent news on McHugh though, along with Moult he was undoubtedly one of our best players in the second half of last season and appears to have all the qualities to make a great captain. Delighted.

Cadden for the way he changed the game with a goal and an assist.

Is there parking around the ground?
There is parking but I think they normally keep it reserved for customers of the leisure centre when there's a game on.
There's a Morrisons supermarket right beside it where you can probably park potentially at risk of a ticket, or there is on street parking on East Fettes Avenue which is just off Ferry Road and about a 5 min walk to the stadium.

Whats the chances of it being revealed today at our first home game of the season?
I think the chat was that it would be revealed at the open day on 30th July.

That's yer man Craig Clay away to join Leyton Orient, so another one off the books.
Seemed a nice guy and showed a few decent touches here and there but just don't think he was of the required standard for a top flight team.
With McHugh, Bigi, Campbell, Gordon and Cadden probably ahead of him for a starting spot it's probably best for all parties.
Edit : and Andy Rose, I keep forgetting about him for some reason!
Cheers for the goal at Inverness and wish him all the best
-
Aww please say we can bin him for this!
-
McHugh was excellent second half but a bit anonymous in the first for me.
Big Kiprè for me. Thought had a great game. No nonsense defending when required, covered for Heneghan a good few times when he was caught out and played some nice passes into midfield. Could be an interesting signing going forward.
-
Heard that Killie gave him a 3 year deal! Surely not?!
-
Gavin Mccafferty is reporting Bira Dembele has turned down our contract offer and we won't be offering him another one. Presume the info came from the pre match press conference.
Hopefully we've got a second option lined up.

I won't quote due to the length, but that's an excellent post Andy.
The way Moult has conducted himself both on and off the park during his time here has been exemplary. As other have said I wouldn't be surprised if the club are encouraging Moult to get his name out. Better him than the club doing it so we can protect our position if/when bids do come in.
If Louis moves this window it's the epitome of our business plan working to a tee and should in theory help recruitment down the line when we can put the evidence of Louis and Marvin to players.

You won't find a bigger McHugh fan than me but he was very poor today. Took far too long to make decisions and got his pocket picked a good few times. On that performance, he's better at CB.
