I agree,  getting a bit fed up with the constant slating of him. Yes he has been poor so far but at this moment in time I would be concerned if we gave Bevis a new contract and Obika a 1yr extension

Obika is out for the whole of next season, a wee boy stood on his toes in yon big photie yesterday.

Going back to a fair old bit but we once canceled a contract of a Finnish defender that Harri Kampman signed on a PCA called Harri Ylonen. I don't know if he was recompensed or such or how we got out of that one. Saying that I'm sure things have changed a lot since then.

This was nevin and boyle acting like arseholes to have a dig at kampman,  The guy played 46 times for his country so would have been decent quality.

I know that I’ve been to more Motherwell games in person than you have in the last decade. I don’t miss home games, you live on the other side of the Atlantic, it doesn’t take a genius.

I also get the impression from your contributions on here that you are an arrogant, condescending and extremely boring individual who loves an argument. You very rarely discuss the team, the players, games themselves. Instead you seem to prefer to fire cheap, crass and annoying remarks to posters who regularly attend games. Why, only you will know, but I think it’s pathetic.

Therefore I will take no lectures from you on supporting Motherwell.

    Are you Nicola sturgeon?😂

Do folks think Kettlewell got it right yesterday? Tactics. Team selection. Not overthinking😉 Was that THE game that he got almost everything right

It's impossible to know , if the livi goal wasn't disallowed it would possibly had a different outcome but we will never know . We won, that's all that matters.

As a striker? Bair and Vale.

As a midfielder, Spittal, Miller and Slattery.

In terms of fitness, every one of them is better than Richie "blowin' after 60 mins" Foran.

He got a lot of leeway from many fans because of his off the field activities, but as a player, falls very much into the Average category for me.

I don't agree but you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that.

that was a great watch.   Looking at the squad from then v's now  - most of these guys would walk straight into our first 11.

    J Paterson
    D Partridge
    G Marshall
    M Corrigan
    S Hammell
    P O'Donnell
    S Leitch
    R Foran
    S Craigan
    S McDonald
    K McBride

Every single one is better than what we have at the moment.

I doubt it. While we're all over here slagging Kelly off, we conveniently forget the absolute bomb scares we've had previously.

That's the problem with having a few decent keepers over the past 15 years or so. Fans think that they're easy to come by.

We've also had a lot of good ones in the past as well , but we're not living in the past .

Saw View from the terrace last night and in between the annoying facial expressions and gestures that they do every week they did bring up a really good point at Euro 2024.  Looking like Patterson and Hickey will miss out so Max Johnston a good shout for right wing back, would definitely put him in ahead of Ralston

Clarke will probably pick some jobber from English leagues one.

Goss, where is he,???. Cornelius, aye right, furlong, add Gent, well better, Butcher, slow last season, slower than normal this, if you can't make an argument, stop posting!!!!!.

Goss is at astereas tripolis in Greece where he has made ten appearances this season with no goals scored.

Me and my dad often talk about going to the Cowdenbeath game. The 3-2 comeback against Celtic in the 3rd round probably fired everyone up, and that team could easily have beaten anyone on their day - losing those 2 semis was an education on being a Motherwell fan.

It was an education on corrupt referee's.

The two points yes, extra cash no, apart from us winning we also needed Aberdeen to beat Dundee which never happened, so it's 7th place prize money at best this season.

The point I was making was  to finish as high as possible in the bottom six where there is also a difference in prize money . Every penny counts.

I don't think anyone will ever confuse you for that. Happy? Very rarely. Clapper? I doubt you clap much at Fir Park.

So would I, if they're good enough. Even once we're mathematically safe, we should push to finish as high up the table as possible. The difference between finishing 7th and 9th could be something like £125,000.

Considering we're pushing for outside investment and needing cash, that money should be a priority.

That clown Shaw's miss not only cost us another two points but potentially some much needed cash as well .

Agreed, I quite enjoyed the game, despite it being played in a hurricane. Even Collum didn't manage to ruin it completely.

Amazingly , Collum was quite decent yesterday. I never thought I would ever say that about him.
