  1. Not a fan, I've not liked any of our black kits. The cash converters black one was a particular a mile out, this one just about looks as bad. Can we just appreciate how fucking class the Motherwell digital media team are though? The video production, social media work and photography is absolutely 10/10. Putting every other SPL team to shame.
  2. Excellent performance from Lamie. Won everything.
  3. Crawford. He won a lot, pressed all game and was tracking runners all over the place in the second half, very good game.
  4. Crawford having a good second half. Him and Campbell make us considerably harder to beat. We need a good creative player to sit alongside them, not sure if Maguire is the answer. Polworth could be the player, but he's posted missing too much. Roberts offering way more than Seedorf, Hastie or Long. His link up play is miles better.
  5. Lamie & Kelly our stand out performers in the second half. Not even kidding about Lamie either, much more competent at CB. The most worrying thing is how our midfield naturally just sit in as games go on. This happened under Robbo and is continuing under GA. It's almost entirely linked to Watt being subbed too, he's the only player we have that can relieve pressure. I can't remember the last time Watt lost the ball. Even when he's clearly blowing out his arse he can still take the ball for a run or win a free kick.
  6. Cole is three times the player this time around. His first touch is tremendous at times. Lamie is also much better at CB than LB.
  7. Agree with this. He's turned in better performances than Campbell recently, as hard as that is to believe. I'm not actually convinced that O'Hara is a major step up from Crawford in the middle of the park either.
  8. Twitter tells me that Goodwin fell out with Foley, which is why he's been dropped after being their POTY last year. How true that is, nobody knows. Most Buddies fans don't seem too happy that he's offski.
  9. What a graft from Tony Watt, covers so much ground, rarely loses the ball and wins a power of free kicks . Decent performances from McGuire and Crawford as well. Like others have said, Campbell looks miles off the pace, nowhere near his usual self. I hate to say it, but if there's one CM that should be dropped, it's him. He could do with a break.
  10. Aside from some sketchy marking for their goal, I thought we were well up to speed in the first half, unlucky not to be level and extremely unlucky not to have a stonewall penalty. However, Seedorf should be nowhere near the starting lineup, and Polworth's general attitude is rotten. There's nothing on the bench to come on and change the game when things aren't working working. I still think we have enough to stay up but need some good recruitment in this window. Slightly worried about Watt being subbed early two weeks in a row, Alexander's arm was possibly forced with the sending off but Watt isn't the player I'd of taken off. Literally every piece of promising attacking play comes from Tony Watt.
  11. I think it's because Polworth swung his right elbow into Ferguson's torso while shielding the ball. Not convinced it's a straight red for abusive language. Fuck knows why he was playing for the foul on the first place. He had plenty of space ahead of him.
  12. Awful commentary. ''Well defended in the end by Aberdeen'', it was a clear handball. Also, Seedorf must be a ledge in training. I have no idea why he's in the starting line up, or even on the bench for that matter.
  13. Happy with Carrol signing on. Solid player with the right attitude. Much better than McGinley and Lamie at LB and generally one of our better fullbacks over recent years. Are people here forgetting about how dire players like Danny Murphy, Yassin Moutoaokil, Tony Straker, Aaron Taylor Sinclair and Stephen Hendrie were?
  14. Seedorf just tackled Robbie Crawford. Positive start!
  15. Maybe I'm going bonkers, but what has that penalty got to do with Mugabi? I thought it was for Dec putting both arms on Erwin's back. Erwin then takes a tumble to force Madden into making a decision.
  16. I can't help but feel losing players like Tait and Hartley have been a bigger loss than we anticipated. It seems that their omission has left a hole in the team. We have nobody on the pitch to rally the troops and the team seems utterly devoid of passion. Tait was really good at putting in one of those hard challenges when the game needed it, the sort of challenge that added intensity and drive to games when we really needed it. Hartley was an average footballer, but clearly cared about the team and winning and that's what the side is lacking badly. He seemed like a good motivator. The only similar player left is Campbell, but his bite has disappeared and he generally seems like a shell of himself. I really don't think Gallagher has stepped up to the captaincy very well either, although a good player on his day, he just doesn't come across like a leader to me. The team is just utterly devoid of any drive and it's blatantly obvious.
  17. Another Polworth love-in from Jock Brown/Lewis Irons. They speak about him like he's Xavi.
  18. Davis could've been off there. Of course there wasn't a peep from the bangers commentating. Even though Tony Watt grabbing a jersey five mins prior was 'absolutely inexcusable'.
  19. Elliot Frear was miles better than every single winger we have in the squad this year.
  20. Long never has any idea what he's doing when he gets the ball. Napper down, run, take a heavy a touch, fall. Every single time.
  21. I don't think Mugabi is the problem. He played okay today, and is much improved overall. Seems like an easy scapegoat due to some wobbles early in his 'Well career. Our midfield and general shape is a bigger problem. Most games pass Polworth by, and there's very little creativity in the team aside from him. However, Watt should have scored twice today, and that could have changed the game drastically.
