Although the £335,000 raised so far is a teriffic achievement, the fact that we're having to trim the players budget by £4000 per week - equal to £208,000 over the year - shows that much more is needed to keep the club going at its present level.
From memory I think that the initial target was in the region of inexcess of £700,000 (£250,000 was the absolute minimum required to get the society up and running) and I believe this shortfall could be part of the reason for the cut in the budget.
So once again I'd like to urge anyone who can afford it, to think seriously about joining.
Do not confuse the Society's funds raised with the player's wage budget.
The funds raised would only be dipped into/used to cover for cashflow problems not as the revenue budget to routinely pay the wages.

...If Randolph does leave us in the summer
...to Bristol City according to yesterday's gossip.

In hospital according to Real Radio this evening, get well soon.

Would love it if he signed off with another trademark og.
All the best to Craigan in his retirement from competative football.

Its like trying to explain to a three year old why teletubbies were canciled
Did Bill Miller refuse to bail out Teletubbies as well? The b@$tard!

I heard someone on your call today talking about how bad our attendance at the St. J game was considering our position. He suggested that we were averaging double that recently.
Maybe 20 years ago...
Correct, I think our average SPL attendance at FP this season is just over 5600.

Becoming increasingly prepared to give local clubs Livingston or Linlithgow Rose a go next season.

Got mine at the Ibroke ticket office no problems.

That photo is a belter!
Eek! no it's not, I'm in it.

Great atmosphere, doesnt really come through on the BBC highlights.
But the commentator did complement the choir for their noisy support.
-
Another one to say absolutely brilliant throughout the game.
Ask plod for the film to be posted as a demonstration of exactly how to support your team.

Absolutely no favouritism shown to the great unwashed today, they wanted to stand and party and were allowed to do so, but the 'Well fans that wanted to stand and try and motivate the gutless eleven in C & A to do something were also allowed to stand and party sing.
If 4900 'Well fans were prevented from turning up then the club made a mistake otherwise there can be no complaints.

Another gutless performance.
I remember Terry Butcher getting Tom Lucas in to overcome issues with the 'Well team.
Looks like McCall and Black need to do the same to overcome this fear that places us alongside Dunfermline and Hibs as the teams that afford the OF far too much respect.

I cannot cancel my standing order this is money I promised the club in good faith and withdrawing only hurts my club not the cheats or the fixers.
But as a member of the SPL taking these decisions isn't Motherwell one of "the cheats or the fixers"?

Seen them a couple of times recently including yesterday's win at Livingston. They'll have to improve to survive in the SPL as they were not too convincing against Ayr and Livingston despite the victories.

We didn't do quite enough to earn a draw and lack of confidence/self belief cost us big time. We really do have to cut out suicidal defending. In the second half the midfield sat too deep and showed Rangers the glass jaw with the inevitable consequences. The goal came late but it was coming for some time before that and the players seemed to sense that. A lack of character is costing us.
Totally agree with this.
Wrong from all at MFC today... Surely this was the match for the directors to announce the Well Society is a goer... while the opponents are verging on liquidation. Anything to noise up Rangers to acquire the £9000,000 for coming second rather than hope for another couple of hundred pounds by the the end of today.
The management must be like their counterparts at Falkirk and the other diddy clubs that remind their teams that it's 11 against 11... not also-rans versus internationalists as McCall does according to his post-match comments.

Derek Adams at Ross County, Ray Farningham throughout Fife.
Does Neil Lennon count or is it first team players only?
-
According to his old man, Nicky Devlin wasn't too far away from the first team before his injury. Never seen him play myself...
Didn't contribute too much during the game at Riccarton the other day so not likely to be starting too soon... but that may have been a bad day at the office as we say.

Josh Watt equalised with a good solo effort early 2nd period before the Jambos regained the lead ironically breaking away from a Well free kick outside the Hearts' box .
Very Ojamaa like effort for the goal.
-
The very wee mascot, for his goal before the game started and for his endeavours to start for 'Well until ushered off by Hammell.

I though Ojamaa was carrying a knock and was very sluggish except when he had the ball at his feet, and as soon as he lost it he pulled up again. That said even playing poorer by his standards he was miles better than any of the players selected by Broony!

Willie Watson lived round the corner from me in Hamilton many moons ago!
Lived the other side of Wellhall Road so he was the nearest.
