I can confirm.................. That it is complete and utter nonsense.
'Flow
Flow yer talking shite,
I was at the Villa Connection at 8 pm last night, getting set meal "C" (Popadoms, chicken pakora, any 2 mealsfrom the menu) tremendous value
It takes about 10-15 mintes so I nicked down to the "Brandon" for a quick pint.
When I got there Gannon and Boyle were stripped to the waist and kicking lumps out of each other............
John had lost his wig, the lot !!!!!!
But they sorted it out and agreed Ruddy is better than Smith !

Killie got their own back when they beat us in the Cup that season 1-0 at Fir Park, I think it was Ross Mathie that scored for them. I never missed a home game that season, my mother was always wary of allowing me to go to football on my own but as I had just started secondary school in Motherwell and was travelling there every day anyway she couldn't really say no. So that was the season when I really became a hardcore fan. At that particular game I was behind the goals where the Cooper Stand is now and I remember Tommy McLean breaking through, the whistle went, but he fired off a shot anyway and Big Peter just stretched his right arm up and caught it with one hand. You were right about the weather, it was absolutely boiling that day.
My first game at the 'Arc was the St Johnstone game in the3rd round that year,I was in the main stand as my cousin/uncle were a bit "posh" (Saints fans) cant really remember much about the game, the next round against Caley 3/4-0 not sure of the score, can remember the game got a "rosette" in claret and amber with the cup on it.
Remember the Killie game as the crowd was a lot bigger and getting pushed around.Remember my dad telling me later (After the St mirren game 1977) there was loads of trouble at the Killie game in 1970.

1st August 1998- a 1-0 home win over St Johnstone then into Glasgow to see the delgados play at The Mitchell Theatre as part of ten day weekend.
The first of many times that I saw that great band and I didn't know at the time that Alun, Hendy and Barzo were 'Well fans. All in all, an excellent day.
Bumped into Barzo at Central Low Level after the 2-1 Sellic CIS semi defeat in 2006 and he was equally gutted about the manner of that defeat.
Gerrard Stirling rocket..........................................Ginger hair is...........unacceptable

Too much "Fancy dan" stuff, bring back the hoop in the away strip !
Actually not that bad.........just enough amber on it.
A swap of the home and away shorts would make both kits better imho

please please do eveything you can to avoid Lawrie Sanchez as your new manager he destroyed my lovely club he was an arrogant fool who signed poor players from dvisions below us for fortunes. His tactics were non existant other than hoof it up wimbledon style but he's not even clever enough to buy players with the skills to play that way... he will destroy your club and get you relegated as well as costing you a fortune. You will learn to hate him like i and all Fulham fans do.
I know for a fact that i speak for 95% of Fulham fans when I say that... the other 5% still genuinely think he is the worlds worst manager but are too nice to truely hate anyone.
What about Alan Dicks in the early 90's,had the pleasure of attending a few games at the Cottage the season he was in charge.....
The chants of.............."DICKS OUT ! DICKS OUT! DICKS OUT!" and "THERES ONLY ONE F'in FULHAM, ONE F'in FULHAM" used to bring a simle to my face.....Happy days in SW6

Gary Mac was a Man Utd fan at school but Motherwell were his Scottish team if anything. He always played rather than went to watch, was a dab hand at gowf, Table Tennis tae and could have turned pro at one of those if fitba' wisnae gonnae work for him. Never a Rangers fan at any time, funny how things get distorted through time (and tenuous links through transfer rumours)
Remember being at a "smartie party" about 1978 and the girls dad asked Gary what he wanted to do when he left school...........Quote "I'm gonnae play for Man united" Girls Dad "Seriously son what do want to do ?" reply "Am gonnae play for Man united !" ( He had signed "S" forms with Man Ure)
Met him in The Fixx, in Queen Street,Glasgae the night we drew 1-1 with Smeltic in the Scottish cup semi 1985 ,which he scored and Big Forbes missed the header in the last minute,he was feckin gutted we never won, never a h*n in his life !
The Braidhurst team he played in, apparently he was a poor mans Andy Scott !

Last season the family season ticket was for 1 adult and upto 2 kids.
Can anyone confirm if this has changed.
I'm trying to buy online and it seems I can only select 1 adult family ticket and 1 child.
If so they kept that quiet.
I handed in the forms at the ticket office for the finance deal for the adult + 2 kids and didnt have any problems

From Wikpedia
"Beevers' performances for Lincoln in the 2008/09 season have led to him being offered a pre-contract by Scottish side Motherwell where the prospect of "REGULAR" European football may be enough to lure him north of the border"

AZ Alkmar Dutch champions dont seem to be that impressed with Canterbury, changed supplier after one season......from football shirt culture
"AZ ALKMAAR have signed a three-year agreement with Quick to provide the 09/10 match kits and training outfits. Quick was also the AZ kit manufacturer for two seasons between 2006 and 2008. This season Canterbury of New Zealand provided the 08/09 kits and training gear"

Went in to pay mine today, I'm sure I saw a leaflet mentioning spreading payments over 10 months. Didn't pay much attention to it really so I may be wrong.
Bought my ticket the past 2 seasons through the "Zebra Finance" 10 installments offer.
Worked out an extra £30 quid on a adult and child tickets for the cooper

[EDIT: Just saw the "highlights" on BBC. The defending for both goals yesterday was fucking diabolical. Clarkys penalty was far from convincing aswell.
2nd goal was a shocker........No marking and No Keeper a free header from 6-7 yards out

Its the Motherwell Stadium, which as previously stated used to host "trotting" on a large sand/ash track around the outside perimeter, on the inside of that was a tar macadam track which had "stock car" racing, and in the middle was a football park which was mainly grass and if my memory serves me right was red ash on the wings.
North Motherwell boys club used to play and train on the park 1970s as they had a hall which backed on to the stadium on Milton street oppsite junction with Woodburn street.
The stadium had a bar/restaurant/cabaret bar which overlooked the stadium I think it closed about 1975/6
I think the Roman Road ground was where the Aquatec and Daisy park centre are now at the top of Caldergrove,I know the Roman Road Gospel hall has been there since 1875, its just off Merry Street.

Lappin eyes new Canaries contract
Lappin was training with the youth team under Glenn Roeder
Norwich City defender Simon Lappin wants a new contract after forcing his way back in the first team less than three months before his deal expires. He has started the Canaries' last two games, his first appearances in almost 18 months after being forced to train with the youth team under Glenn Roeder.
"I was banging my head against the wall, I didn't know what to do," the Scot, 26, told BBC Radio Norfolk.
"I've let the manager know I want to be here for the long term."
The former St Mirren left-back has played in the centre of Norwich's midfield in their last two games covering for the suspended Darel Russell.
His current deal is due to expire at the end of the season and he is ready to put a frustrating period behind him.
"I've always believed in my own ability and it was just about getting the opportunity to show it," he said.
After being signed by Peter Grant in January 2007, Lappin scored three goals in 33 games for Norwich and played in Roeder's first three matches as Norwich manager.
He lost his place after a 3-0 defeat at Plymouth in November 2007 and spent the end of last season on loan at Motherwell. Article 7th April 2009
