We've finished 3rd and played in Cup Finals under that model. 300 grand a year from Erik Barmack isn't going to change anything on the park.

I'm the same. I'm feeling optimistic after tonight. It was very clear that all the board members against the proposal are well prepared for the vote and moving the Society forward and that they have put a huge amount of time and effort into dealing with this issue. As far as Tom Feeley goes I'll give him some credit for coming out and putting across his position but whenever detailed criticisms of the deal were addressed to him all he could respond with was "I would hope" or telling us to trust Barmack and other non WS board members. Considering that we are talking about the future of the club and millions of pounds of Well Society member's assets 'hope' and 'trust' are nowhere near good enough. There was a point just before I left where Tom Feeley and Sean Baillie were discussing the future of the Well Society if Barmack takes over and the contrast in detail pretty much summed the night up. Sean clearly explained the likelihood of the WS not being able to meet the funding commitments in the deal and the danger of Barmack's marketing of the club leading to match going fans being outnumbered by new online fans in Society votes. All Tom could respond with was 'we'll deal with that in a few years if we have to'.

The day to day running of the club and dealing with employees is the CEO. If the Executive Board have officially directed Caldwell to bury the plan online that's a huge red flag against them. If he's done it off his own back it's a black mark against him. We'll find out tonight. People at the club beyond McMahon obviously want this to go through. Suzanne Read and Bob Park are very clearly pro Barmack on social media. It's extremely unprofessional but that's their MO.
-
The social media channels are controlled by club employees. Caldwell is responsible for those employees.
-
Caldwell seems to be talking out of both sides of his mouth. One day he's pro ownership, the next day he's refusing to promote the Well Society plan on the club's Social Media. It's sensible from his perspective but it shows he's not at all trustworthy in terms of representing fan ownership on the board.
-
I'm not going to talk to the prick on Twitter but can someone ask him just how much he intends to spend on AI marketing and branding in year one? He surely at least knows that.
-
It's barely an investment. He puts in £1.9m and in return gets a shareholding worth more than that. It's making money on the deal not spending it. The Well Society need to spell that out. There's also zero detail on what he's planning to spend the 'investment' money on.
-
The plan looks good. Hopefully we can all get behind it as a support and move into the next stage of fan ownership. McMahon's deal gives us just six years of 'security'. The Well Society is how we genuinely secure the club for future generations of fans.

I saw Slattery in the gym on Saturday which suggests he's still a long way off a comeback or he would be in Holland. Callaghan is a crock and Halliday is finished. Davor is a dud and Paton is extremely limited. The other two have zero experience. We need more quality to play beside Miller.
-
I was hoping for Furlong to add some quality but this guy has a decent prolife in terms of age and games played. It'll be interesting to see what kind of player he is, hopefully good in attack or we will be very blunt. A right wing back and centre mid next please.
-
Hopefully the Well Society are planning to do more accessible media because they haven't put out any kind of formal rebuttal to the revised proposal yet. They need to move away "I'm a big fan of Erik Barmack" to explaining how he is trying to shaft us.
-
Aye it kind of reminded me of the last game against Celtic at Fir Park. Slovakia just camped in their own box the full second half. Switzerland will pump them. 11/4 just now.
-
Maros Klimpl just put his remote through the telly.
-
It just seems that if he was a good quality wing back the team would have played him there as he wasn't keeping the goals out playing in the middle. I've seen a few Oz football people saying he's stronger in the middle than at wing back or full back.
-
Big Moses is a goal machine.
-
People are saying on Twitter McGinn is injured. Did he even train with us?
-
It's hard to believe that a guy who was playing centre back for the worst team in Australia is going to be the attacking wing back we need.
-
We have already discussed this on the thread. Key points are: 1. The Well Society owns 71% of the club. 2. MFC have told the Well Society that Companies House will not allow it to be a Person With Significant Control. 3. St Mirren's fan ownership group have a smaller shareholding and exactly the same legal form as the Well Society but are listed as PWSC on the St Mirren Companies House page. So something doesn't add up.....
-
He's not going to get any better going forward and it's been a big problem for us. The only time Kettlewell's system actually worked was with two wingbacks who could attack. It's the same with Scotland where we were so easy to defend because teams weren't worried about Ralston at all.
-
We still need a new RWB badly. We can't have another season where O'Donnell murders us in possession.
-
Spittal off set pieces and Miller on them could make a big difference.
-
It sounds good until you think about trying to travel there via Hermiston Gate or a train from Motherwell that's absolutely packed with them all getting on at Glasgow Central. The Festival is on as well just to add to the chaos. Hampden would be ideal.
-
There's nothing cynical about seeing it like that, it's exactly what is happening. The Well Society have roughly £1.8m in cash and money the club owes them. Funnily enough McMahon's valuation and plan results in Barmack having to put in £1.9m and the Well Society putting in....... exactly £1.8m. What a coincidence.
-
The Well Society don't have the new Head of Terms yet so no one actually knows what it's in it apart from McMahon and Barmack. Fixing a date for a vote before you know what's the vote is for seems a bit unusual to me.....

I like playing them during the Christmas period. It's a good atmosphere compared to a dull Sunday in October or February. This season is the toughest the league has been in a long time with no Livi or Accies. The games against County, St Johnstone and the Dundee clubs are all 6 pointers from day one.
