    Craig Brown

mate, i disagree. he thinks he knows what's he doing but he doesn't have a clue. when he left us he shamed himself. he showed his true character and even although the mainstream media apolgised for him the vast majority of supporters in scotland knew he shat on us. the truth and what is reported in this country are completely different things. before he shafted us he had an impeccable rep and legacy. after he done the dirty proper supporters recognised he was a chancer and the lies he has told this evening will only have enforced this.
  2. diamond and hartley are out for aberdeen. normally big zander missing out would be a boost for them but the big slovenian(?) boy is even worse. with him and considine in the middle of the defence you have to hope their will be goals in this for us. i'm not actually that bothered about brown now either but i dare say come three o'clock and with a few beers in me i'll be up for giving him a warm welcome.
  3. if we get to the final said fan is going to need some sort of disguise to get himself into hampden.
  4. that was superb. it was great to see that we still have a performance like that in us 40 odd games into a very long season. walking out the east last night reminded me of the aalesunds game, 3 goals, a clean sheet and everyone with a smile on their face. we've got four huge games coming up now, if we can make the final and the top six it'll have been some season. we completely bossed dundee united from start to finish, jenno and lasley are unplayable when they are on form and the front 4 made it count with goals. hammell and hateley were immense as well and if they were playing with knocks no one would have known. big gunning was top notch to, i think he knew he owed us a performance after killie. there seems to be a real belief amomgst the players right now that we can go on and it win it, you get the feeling that they're desperate for a crowing achievement to what has been a good few years. i think we're seeing the benefit of all the big games we've played in recently - the 6-6 and 3-3, the euro games, the cis semi - as the players seem to rise to the occasion and have confidence in their ability to put in a performance and get a result. hopefully judas broon slithering back into fir park on saturday will inspire the team and the support to keep the intensity up from the off. the banner said 'time for new heroes' and we won't have many better chances to make history, fingers crossed we make the most of it.
  5. the 13 '91 shirts were superb. i came in at 20 to 8 and i was proud as punch when i saw them. well done to everyone who made them and held them up.
  6. just in case this is a bit vague i mean..... the lip this is a message to you...
  7. i agree with the attendance. i don't think there was 3500 united fans tho. i'd wager at 2700.
  8. superb goal! superb effort! doubters get it right fucking up you!
  9. after a week of hegarty in charge i'm going for five nil to us.
  10. i'd probably invest half a million a season while i went on a multi year round the world bender. after i got fed up with that i'd return home, take the reigns and unleash a reign of terror. i'd make vlad romanov look like a model chairman and anyone who slated me in the media or online would get an instant life time ban. speirs. leckie. traynor. young. keevins. all banned from fir park. old firm fans banned from fir park. i'd also put lazyboys and a big jacuzzi in down where i sit in the east tae.
  11. firstly i think 14 is some kind of legal cut off. you see a lot of gigs that are advertised over 14s. the idea of us doubling our season ticket base isn't possible imo. we had about 5000 at the semi final and that was a big one off game, would every single person there buy a season ticket?
  12. my point is that we all thought we were downsizing last season and it turned out that we spent as much on wages as we did when we finished third. if butcher could find mcdonald and malpas mccormack surely gannon could have got us at least one creative player who might be worth something if he is transfer guru some people think he is cracked up to be. i enjoyed having ruddy and jutkiewicz here but we must have been paying an absolute fortune for them and yassin. jenno was obviously a great signing, coke wasn't and the jury is still very much out on hateley and humphrey.
  13. we need to stay away from loans and one year deals next season. there seems to be some sort of myth that jim gannon was some sort of transfer market guru but the facts are that he got the same level of financial backing as mcghee but couldn't sign us one player who will be a sellable asset for the club (even malpas managed that). we need more signings along the lines of sutton and randolph. guys who appear to be our level but have a good chance of improving and building around. we have to get away from filling important roles in the team with loan players as it leaves you chasing your tail at the end of every season.
  14. exactly. if we get 4 points from the sheep and united games and celtic beat ict on saturday then ict will have to win at killie to stay alive. st johnstone play killie, rangers, celtic and dundee united and have only scored 1 goal in their last 6 league games. nae chance they'll catch us.
  15. i meant to quote davie boy about the 3 on 1. fair play for being drunk. fat cubans are shite.
  16. jenno has been a terrific player for us, he's the sort of guy you love in your team. he's great on the ball, has amazing energy and is hard as nails. when jennings and lasley are bossing a game it doesn't get much better as a well fan. sadly i think for his own good jenno has to head back south. since the hearts game it seems like he gets booked every week. if he goes south for a clean slate i will have no complaints.
  17. jones gave him a diabolical pass.
  18. this makes me much more confident. you said we wouldn't get within three of them at tannadice. you are a diddy.

    Kilmarnock

sutton by a mile. who voted for humphrey?
  20. he's played 84 games for us since gannon took over as well as 10ish for the scotland u21s. that's 90+ games in 21 months for a guy who is still 21 and takes a fair bit of punishment from defenders. i agree that he'll benefit from a break but we should presevere with him just now. i don't think he played as badly as some are making out today, he was our main out ball and took a lot of passes in to feet in decent areas. he was far, far better than humphrey.
  21. why you don't you email the bbc?
  22. that 2nd goal was a total farce. clear foul on hateley before their corner but the worst part was gunning's pish poor attempt at tracking back before that. it was a soft pen but gunning i knew the ref was going to give it straight away as their seemed to be one set of rules for us and one for killie, some of the fouls on murphy that weren't given were unreal. your never going to win a game with humphrey, forbes and gunning playing in the same midfield against a team who move the ball as well as killie. i was half expecting jenno to get a second yellow just so he could get away from the 3 of them. it was embarassing watching forbes near the end of his match, his decision making seems to go due to his poor conditioning. humphrey was shocking, he did well for the goal but was awful for the other 89 and did his favourite trick of hiding behind the left back for most of the 2nd half. putting forbes on for saunders turned the match against us. we needed to be able to compete in midfield and that decision weakend us. surely gunning to left back, page to right back and jones to left mid was the change we needed. credit to sutty, jenno, murphy and craggs for good performances.
  23. aye they put in some shifts in england. carlisle versus bournemouth is a belter from this weekend, only the 12 hour round trip for cherries fans.
  24. a game 45 minutes down the road at midday isn't much of a hardship. there will be thousands of fans around the uk leaving the house before me on saturday.
