  1. mcdiarmid park is the away ground humphrey has had the most joy at so i'd not be suprised if that's true.
  2. i think she deleted her account not along ago. some set of diddies on her btw.
  3. tom hateley doesn't commit many fouls or get many bookings, i think he'll be fine. tam has played in every game since he joined the club, 93 in a row, it would be sore one for him if he made it to 99 then missed the final (if we get there). hutchy is the one i hope can keep the heid. if gunning is playing he'll be the most likely to pick up a yellow, he's seems like a nutter.
  4. randy, hutchy, gunning, hateley and the humph are all on yellows. not too bad. jenno and las not having to worry is a major boost.
  5. they pretty much had to announce the old firm game early as you could hardly spring it on the polis with only a couple of days notice. i've got a feeling we'll be playing rangers at home on the final day. i think the spl will be doing everything they can to avoid a scenario where a team can qualify for europe by losing their last match which could happen if we get to the final or the 4th place team need rangers to win the league. i wouldn't be suprised if we get both the old firm at fir park and the other teams away.
  6. plus getting the train to haymarket and wandering down dalry road isn't exactly the most torturous of journeys.
  7. we've been top six 3 of the last 4 seasons. city what?!!
  8. the guy gave 100% today. what more do people want? he obviously knows he'll not be here next season but he worked their defenders with zero help. when he went off he got a good reception from the travelling support. anyone who feels the need to abuse him after today is either 1. stupid 2. clueless or 3 impotent
  9. pardon? the spl stats actually makes suprising reading, i thought hearts would have held a bigger advantage. when you consider their crowds are 4 times ours and they've ran up 30 million of debt during that period it shows how badly they've been ran. here's a question for the jambo. how many 6-0 wins in that period? here's another wee fact as well. in the same period the cup record is motherwell 3 wins, 1 draw, hearts 0 wins.
  10. where's mjc when you need him?
  11. it'd put us level with killie.

    A Request

you've got to wonder what some people want to get out of supporting motherwell. two semis this season, a decent european run and it looks like top six. 19 wins so far, a clean sheet record and our very small and very young squad are still pulling out top performances 45 games into a long season. enjoy it while you can, realistically it doesn't get a lot better than this.
  14. i think the cup is probably worth more. half the gate from the final would be worth around £400k plus the tv money. add in all the merchandise and hospitality the club could sell and you're looking at a fair old sum. the money isn't the biggest issue anyway, winning the cup would give us benefits money can't buy.
  15. as far as i can tell the mighty well have never won three games in row at tynecastle. saturday is a chance to make history. we've raped the jambos on our last two trips to their midden and the atmosphere the well fans have created has been a huge part of that. both games in 2010 we outsang their 3 stands and took all 6 points, if we can get a similar support again on saturday we will dominate. it is within us to intimidate hearts in their own ground. let's do it this saturday!
  16. that has to go down as one of the hardest fought three points ever. randy - heart heart heart saunders - first start in a long time but superb hutchy - brilliant, he owned the beast. craggs - two or three last ditch challenges on the beast mo ross - his celebrations at the end show where his heart is, mo loves randy humph - great goal, lets keep it going las - playing within in himself, i hope he gets a break on saturday. still amazing tho hateley - another guy playing injured but a good show forbes - he took confidence from the goal but tired near the end murphy - quality, united's full backs are terrified of him sutty - he looked tired, a legend regardless.
  17. i thought the pitch was good in nick last wednesday but was a bit rutted on saturday. the rain might well have helped it. there has been no mention of lasley in any of these injury reports which is good news and should mean the only change from saturday will be craggs for gunning. if las had been out i'd have went for hateley/forbes/page midfield trio. i also saw on ssn that kenneth and severin might be back for united. i've missed giving babyheid abuse but hopefully he won't be playing as dixon usually keeps the humph quiet when he plays lb but struggles against sutton when he has been cb.

    Europe

what would you call someone who (hypothetically) wants celtic to beat us in the spl so we get into europe? with united and killie only able to get into europe if rangers win the league there could be some interesting games ahead!

    Craig Brown

we had definite grounds for complaining. (i) there is an spl rule that said clubs couldn't approach each other's contracted employees (ii) as brown is now making he clear he well knows he had a contract under scots law, written or not.
  20. i'd bite your hand off for a draw. it'd leave ict needing two wins or a win and two draws.

i always thought it implied that aberdeen chucked us a wee sweetener to withdraw the complaint. why else would we withdraw, complaining to the spl costs nothing and there was a decent chance of some compo.

    Craig Brown

if he managed the team in the semi final he would have got his bonus however he broke his contract/gentleman's agreement, whatever you want to call it, and fucked off to pittodrie. he continually told the press he had no contract with mfc when he moved to aberdeen. now he apparently thinks we are contractually obliged to give him a bonus? if he does go to a tribunal and cite some sort of contract we should be straight onto the spl making a complaint about aberdeen poaching him. either way he won't be due anything as you actually have to be employed by a company to be due a bonus. the only thing brown has a case for is incontinence pants.
  23. there's a lot of fitba to be played before the end of the may! in fact never mind that, there's a lot of fitba to be played in the next 10 days. the future is now!
  24. a wee run through the games you mention. the home game i bolded against killie was a really good performance in flash flood conditions. mccall fucked up at ibrox and tannadice but he's clearly learned from that. 3 at the back won't happen again and when we went back to tannadice in the cup we went with two up front rather than trying to match them in midfield. the st mirren and st johnstone matches were nothing games where we were unlucky. at perth sutty cleared murphy's shot off their line and then they get a strange pen. against midden we were denied a stonewaller on las and higdon's shot bounced over randy. you get shitty games like these every season, sometimes you win (falkirk home oct 09, accies home feb 10), sometimes you lose them (hearts home feb 08, killie april 07). ict away was probably the poorest performance. we went up there thinking we would play a bit of football and outpass them and they completely out fought us and put our defence under a lot of pressure. killie away isn't much to worry about either. we were in control until saunders went off, mccall probably made a mistake by taking hateley out of midfield but i think we would have been up against it either way. look at the team we had out that day, 7 out of 10 outfielders 21 and under. our subs were forbes (21), a clearly unfit jones and casagolda (self explanatory.) is a defeat against a bouyant killie side really that much of a big deal under the circumstances? apparently just listing games we lost is enough to damn a manager. does anyone forsee a season where we don't lose daft games and put in a few shocking performances? mccall has a record of played 19, won 8, drawn 3, lost 8. considering the small, inexperienced squad he is working with it's an extremely solid start and should be enough to keep even the manic depressive squad off his back.
