bad news for sutty he doesn't deserve that. he's due the best part of million quid of hearts, i hope he gets every penny of them, he's got his degree to keep him occupied anyway. good news for us. if hearts are going to rely on stevenston and the two elliots up front i don't see them challenging for 3rd.

would there be any point in becoming a normal shareholder when this is finalised. there is never going to be a dividend or a chance to make a profit and joining the society will provide a bigger influence on the running of the club. there is still a few things i'd like to have cleared up. i understand why they are starting with 45% to ease this is in but when/if it goes beyond 50% the fans will be in total control. there is talk of one or two fans reps on the board but surely if the society is in full control of the club all board appointments will have to be approved by the society and all directors will be accountable to the society? also is there a guaranteed time frame from going from 45% to 51%? and also who holds the remainder of john boyles shares in the meantime? is it boyle himself or is it another vehichle controlled by the current directors? i'm also curious about the structure of the society. i haven't heard anything about that from the meeting. will it have a board or trustees itself. how will the voting mechasim work? also in the past few years we've repaid about £300,000 of a loan to boyle which is fair enough. did they mention anything about the future payment schedule of this loan and make assurances that the funds invested by the society won't be used for this? i couldn't make the meeting so i've no idea if this was covered. i asked at fir park yesterday about another meeting but they don't seem to have one scheduled. hopefully they will schedule another one soon.

and what we will do to make up the shortfall in our turnover? actually quite pleased about this. it's my birthday, a win and an all dayer would be ideal

seems a bit pointless getting a supporters bus to a game 10 miles down the road. is not murder getting away from parkhead where the buses park as well?

i think our incentive to reduce the price would be to minimise the amount of money we have to give to hibs. we have to give them £££ for every season ticket holder that uses a voucher to get in. i imagine it will be linked to the gate price rather than the ST cost.

cole - played right back for rangers last year away to bursapor and did ok. toshney - never seen him allan - dundee united fans were raving about him at the start of the season. suppossed silky midfielder. armstrong - scored against us in january and in the last u21 game palmer - right sided midfielder, looks no bad. tom cairney - probably the best player in the squad. class act. alex mcdonald - was on loan at falkirk and ict. pish rhodes - big centreforward. he's banged in about 50 goals in league one already. quite a strong squad considering saunders, ness and fyvie are injure and wilson, hanley and forrest are in the big squad. think i'd rather see them play u21 though.

came on at about half 10 claiming he had heard from a source brown and knox had arranged a man u youngster on loan. obviously the board got a bit excited until he came back on at 1230 admitting it was bullshit.

i doubt busta is perched in fir park monitoring the POD front door. i'm still raging about maxywell's wind up last year, none of that pish this time
-
i like those odds. and the celtic team we beat in 2008 won the league, beat milan and made it to the last 16 of the champions league where they led twice against barca. definitely better than the current jokers.

takes the wind out the trust's sails doesn't it
-
i also heard him compare daley's ability to play across the front to steve jones. a big quick centre forward please.

all i was saying was we've had a fairly major slump for two months in each of the past 3 seasons that has left us playing catch up, avoid that and we should be in a strong position going into the final 1/3 of pre split fixtures. i don't think the weather has been that bad in febraury recently. i don't know about 2008/09 but the last couple have been mild compared to what came before. i do think we're a bit of a fair weather team, the only games i can remember us winning in minging weather in the past two seasons are the cup tie in stranraer and the two games at pittodrie (which says more about aberdeen than us). the 3-3 game at tynecastle is a good example, when it was pissing down we were dire and 3-0 down, when the sun came out we ran riot and scored 3.
-
dunno about the game but i can see a record number of well fans chucked out. i don't think the nazi stewards at the paedodome will be too impressed with singing section.
-
hibs are brutal. we'll ride them plus get an extra opportunity to slate o'connor and griffiths.
-
good to get another body in. still hoping for another centre forward though.
-
i agree about our first XI. with everyone fit i'd be confident of 3 points against anyone outside the old firm. the problem is beyond that. we only have 12 (not counting saunders) outfield players with any real first team experience. st mirren have 17. killie have 20 and they are still trying to sign players. it's a long hard winter and i think we need more depth and striker who can do the dirty work for us. we had a great march/april/may last season but it's easy to forget that in the bad weather we were mostly hopeless. our record in november/december the past 3 season is p.24 w.4 l.15 d.5. we need to make sure we don't have another winter slump.

away to ayr or home to airdrie for me. away to hibs wouldn't be the worst draw either. we've only been to easter road twice in the past two and a half years.
-
this particular signing just seems like the easy option. st mirren get a decent looking full back from holland, killie sign a rapid young guy from ipswich to play left back. obviously both signings involved contacts/scouting. we hear a killie reserve is told he can leave for free and sign him up. it reminds me of signing meldrum because he lived locally or molloy and keegan because they had the same agent as danny murphy. we've had a great start but our performances haven't been great. ict and 30 minutes against 10 men of hearts was good but killie, st mirren and rangers were all underwhelming and the first half against hearts was rank. our squad is paper thin and our only experienced forward might be completely useless with our style of play. things are going well the now but i don't think it will take much to knock us off our stride. if we sign a decent striker and a winger then i'll be delighted and very confident. if we don't then questions have to be asked why not. st mirren and killie have stronger looking squads than us, i can't imagine they are spending much more than us.

tom hateley for me. 100th appearance, first goal from open play, first with his left peg and a shot of the captain's armband. only taking two years and nine days since your debut to 100 appearances is impressive and he's been extremely reliable playing in every game since he signed. can anyone think of a motherwell player who hit 100 games quicker?
-
ben gordon is a left back, what has that got to do with clancy? i don't understand what the reslts of the games have to do with his performances/ability? if jenno hadn't shat the bed at 0-0 in the first game at fir park would he have been a worse player? the guy is slow and he made jones (currently in the blue square north)look a player back in may. he's 27 and has 70 senior appearances so he's hardly experienced. st mirren and killie have found young, cheap promising fullbacks this summer, why can't we look a bit further a field?
-
he'd be better if he wasn't so fat. maybe we can sign him up for that weight watchers group at fir park.
-
from what i know of him he is slow and got ripped to shreds off steve jones the last time he played at fir park. let's hope if we've got money to sign clancy a deal for a striker is in the pipeline.
-
the guy hasn't kicked his own arse in the past 4 games. he's a one trick pony who seems unable to even perform that trick anymore. it's a big boys game. either contribute what you're paid to do or face the consequences.
-
is there not a way we could get better music? somebody must know they guy who does it. get him on here and we could get a load of suggestions and a wee fan approved library of songs to pick from.

hammell sold the jerseys at the 2nd goal, he should have rode the challenge from mcmillan but he shat it and passed the ball to no one. that was game over so i don't think he deserves motm even though he played well.
