the difference between higdon playing and occupying defenders and him not being there was pretty stark last saturday. i'd give boab the nod tomorrow. i'd expect us to come fast out the blocks and press them and he might be able to some joy in the box.
-
dazzer gets his rumours from thingsmadeupbysadcases.com. any idiot can go on those sites and link any player to any club. the fact that he keeps on reposting them here gives a strong hint as to who is making them up. jeffers was worth it just for his goal at aberdeen and the performances in the two quarters and the semi. his signing and that of ross were a bit like bob malcolm's a few years ago, a good move when the window was shut to help us achieve our goals but not worth it under normal circumstances.

i think my season ticket is pretty good value. everyone would like everything to be cheaper but you've got to be realistic. we're over achieving on a low bugdet right now and i don't see where we could make savings. if we want a decent team on the park playing in the spl then fans are going to have to put their hands in their pocket, if not we'll end up like accies. would paying a 100 quid less a year for home games (a fiver off every match) be worth that?
-
that was actually addressed to the prior moaner. i can't understand how people can moan about prices when we're down to the utter bare bones. would you prefer we hadn't signed law and higdon but knocked a few quid off the price of a ticket?
-
who should we get rid of to fund these price cuts? randolph hateley hammell craigan hutchison lasley jennings humphrey law murphy higdon saunders forbes hollis page carswell lawless pollock smith mchugh take your pick
-
if you don't like it you probably shouldn't go. and if you do go then surely to fuck you should sit in the east and save those valuables poonds!
-
from hearts fan and guardian journo ewan murray. hertz are fucked.
-
i think i know what this is then. there was a guy a few rows behind us who lost the plot when humphrey fell over for about the 5th time and went mental. a couple of minutes later he was arguing with a guy sitting himself at the end of his of row (who i had never seen before) and getting held back by his mates.
-
correct. but there'll be a good crowd at fir park years after they build flats on your midden.

flow got into a wee twitter argument with some journo who commented on the attendance at the ict compared to the hibs game a year previous. apparently there was almost exactly the same amount of well fans at both games. there was about 3900 motherwell fans at the game which was about the same as killie had on saturday.
-
last year bolton made £38 million from broadcasting. we made £1.5m we need gate money to survive, they don't. you only have to look at our squad on saturday to see that their can't be many savings that could be made at fir park to cover a reduction in gate prices.
-
it doesn't sound great but it's only about 0.2% of our turnover. using some of the money from the cup run to gain fans seems like a decent investment. you'll be loving the free kids tickets in a few years
-
odds that a poster on here is the one making all these daft rumours up?
-
is it not just people in the east and main being able to use the wellevate deal this season?
-
celtic's closer and ibrox, st mirren park and tynecastle are shorter timewise by train. (edit - just realised we couldn't draw any of them ) broadwood is always bloody freezing as well.
-
were you at the game caller? that was embarassing and humphrey basically chucked it with 15 minutes to go because he was toiling so badly. hopefully he'll rip grainger for the umpteenth time on sunday but last saturday was not a good day for your boy.
-
incredible stuff. he's like a scottish franz beckenbauer.
-
maybe it should be 'falls over the ball for me'

levein is a trophy dodging wanker. its quite clear that as an ex dundee united manager and director he wants to increase the value of their players to get his mate back some of the dough his da pished away. he's a petty vindictive prick as he showed in his interview after the spain game and all the ridiculous comments about his revolutionary 4-6-0 formation. would anyone be suprised if the reason he refuses to pick motherwell players is because a fir park door frame assualted his hand and sent him up to wishaw general when he had a hissy fit? no because as he's shown he's deluded enough to blame someone else for the fact that he was punching walls over a clear penalty. murphy should be ahead of forrest and should have the caps that maguire has but what really shows levein up for the bitter, bitter man he is his continual snubbing of paul gallagher. the only possible reason is that levein is still raging about his managerial career being shot down in flames in leicester and can't bring himself to call up one of their players. we drew a decent group at the weekend in which there is a lot of potential for dropped points. we need to get a decent manager on board who's idea of tactical innovation isn't playing without a striker or sticking lee wilkie or kevin mckenna up front.

did i say people couldn't sit down? just don't moan that others want to stand. i stood at stranraer, tannadice, the replay and the semi no problem at all then at the final the section i was in right behind the goals was mainly sitting, load of pish. how come celtic fans (or scotland fans) are able to stand and support their team for 90 minutes in a big game but it too much hassle for well fans?
-
everyone in the celtic end managed to stand for 90 minutes (as well as completely out singing us) anyone who wasn't willing to stand should have been in the family section.
-
if levein picks murphy then his value increases. that's bad for his mates at tannadice as it increases our budget so he won't pick him. simples.
-
jeffers was decent but he bottled in front of goal at tynecastle and at home to rangers. he also added nothing on days when we weren't playing well (parkhead and tannadice 4-0). he was a joy to watch at times but i don't think he is what we need.

the away league cup tie through in livi was a brilliant night. phil was top class and kenny wright's goal was a belter. not too bothered about this draw, i'm just glad stranraer are out. fuck going back down there.
