it would be mental under normal circumstances with a player like mccormack or o'brien. with guys like jennings and sutton who have gave 100% all season and are totally commtited to the cause it is, to put it politely, beyond mental.

what? killie didn't get a kick for the first 20 minutes and we had a couple of decent spells in the second half and had the chance to win the game with saunders' header. it was a decent enough game with both teams playing the ball on the deck without much bite. if jenno's goal had been given i think we would have ran away with it.

what you are forgetting is that in november we had management in place who seemed to rate sutton as less valuable than gow. he only started 2 out 11 games in that period (madness) so maybe it was the management rather than the club who didn't want to give him a new deal. good luck to sutty if he departs and if chrissy p comes back then jackpot.

i still don't understand why people feel so strongly about this. is there that big a difference between playing 9 teams 4 times in a ten team league and the status quo of 6 teams 3 times plus 5 teams 4 times? would or season have been that bad if accies and midden had never blackened or eyes and we played hibs, ict, st johnstone and the sheep one more time? the reason they are trying to do this is to strenghten the teams currently in the first and make relegation from the spl less of a financial blow. you look at the problems of the likes of falkirk, qots and dundee and it's clear they need a hand.

the difference is that all those businesses have far more potential customers than motherwell. millions of people go on holidays, need insurance, use tradesman and go to gigs. there is probably only around 8000 people interested in watching motherwell on a regular basis so a different model must be employed. it's more a club than company and hopefully stuff like this won't happen if/when they bring in the membership scheme that has been mentioned.
