I'm stuck between Clarky's Volley against inverness in the 07/08, His Chip against United in Phils Game Or The Jukes Half Volley against Hibs! DC'd Posted September 19, 2011 Report Share Posted September 19, 2011 More of a random shout, but one goal that I hold up higher than most for Motherwell was - McGarry vs St Mirren (McGhee 1st Game). Albeit a rather simple finish - the link up play from Quinn, Clarky, Porter and finally McGarry was sexual to watch. 3mins into the opening day of the season - it was just a glimour into what was about to come that season - and set us up beautfully for the season. Think the timing of the goal almost instantenously into the season gave the players that additional belief that they can actually play one-touch triangular football. Great goal, and was more symbolic of what was to come rather than actual signficance a la Fitzpatrick, O'Donnell, Kirk etc. So, McGarry's v St Mirren for me. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm sure it was when we played United on Setanta later that season I think they showed them before the game. They did an interview with Clarky and showed the highlights, the only time they've been on TV. I'm sure some Motherwell fan has got them saved somewhere. It was the game at Tannadice where the players had the special O'Donnell footballs with his name and signature on them, some were kicked into the stand for the Motherwell fans I seem to remember. SuperCC Posted September 19, 2011 Report Share Posted September 19, 2011 Easily John Spencers goal away at St Johnstone - he went right thru their midfield on his own before launching a screamer from over 30 yards straight into the top corner. Must have been 10 years ago now and we were 3 up by half time but usual squeaky bum time as they came back and we only scraped the win 3-2!! Cant find it on youtube!!
