gunn
Was having a browse over the SPL table there and it looks like our next two games are very important if we get wins out them, and they are winnable? I'm thinking 2-1 Motherwell.
myteam
seeing as we,ve not had a game for a few weeks, are we taking a decent away crowd? heart says a win, head says a score draw.hope randolph is fit for this one, even tho i reckon hollis is a decent back-up keeper mon the well
MJC_MKI
Can't see this one going for us I'm afraid. 2-0 Kilmarnock
Yabba's Turd
Don't be afraid, it's just a game of football. We should come firing out the blocks for this one
Frazzie
We really should, but Killie have upset us a few times in the recent past when we've been favourites. Difficult game to call for me. As someone said above, we'll hopefully see a decent traveling support since we've been out of action for a while.
Tassinari
Looking forward to this one, an away win to level the SPL Head to Head vs Killie. Think it will be close with a goal in it.
steelboy
i think we'll see higginbotham involved for this one. hopefully the extended lay off has allowed the lads to recharge their batteries and we see a good performance. if we get beat it's solely because mccall is away with scotland and refusing to sign a new contract

Yoshi-1991
There is a fantastic point made in that article that if we moved to the summer, there is a good chance we would get more tv money as there is no English football to contend with. weeyin
There is a fantastic point made in that article that if we moved to the summer, there is a good chance we would get more tv money as there is no English football to contend with. There would be Euro and World Cup finals to compete with on a regular basis plus most of our season would still overlap. The main reason we get screwed by TV companies is because we constantly undersell our game. The teams in the Blue Square Premier probably receive about as much money as we do for a vastly inferior product.

Yes international competitions do pose as a problem, but at the same time, if we were to work our way tightly around it then it might help boost attendances with everyone catching football fever for the summer. This added in to the shorts a tshirt weather have a good chance of bringing punters in.

When the results came in after Ireland switched to summer football, however, there was no increase in attendance.

Summer football just would not work in this country, partly due to the clash with World Cup/Euros every two years and more significantly down to the fact that the powers that be in our game do not have the foresight and ideas to deliver a completely revamped gameplan which would work effectively. The sad reality is that Scottish football is severely handicapped both on and off the park.

I'm open to it if anybody could show me a tangible benefit.
Haggischomper
It's not just about the weather or attendance. Hopefully it would mean better quality fitba if even only a slight improvement
Lobey_Dosser
Big supporter of summer football with a 16 team league. Plenty of scope to work round the International tournaments. Sky would be all over it, crowds would undoubtedly be up and we would get a better standard of football. Once Doncaster & co take us over the edge we may eventually get a shift in culture that reinvents the game.

Finlay
2-2. Unsure of attendance. My spare £22 for away games is beginning to run out/get spent elsewhere at the mo.

stv
They play summer football down here Better things to do in our brief summer than watchin football . Attendences would be crap in the summer as well as the winter. Family day out at Rugby Park on Sat........ Mrs , Me , two juniors and ma old man plus petrol plus a few Killie Pies total about £120 thank you very much . Thats why football attendances are poor When will the clubs all catch on reduce prices to encourage folk back to the games .

Folk have better things to do with their money now, simple as that, IMO summer fitba' wid help cos seats are torture in winter time when yer movements are restricted but cost is far more restrictive. Best go back to amateur to make it affordable and value for money
well_nuts
Looking forward to the game tomorrow. Only the second time I have been down there on the train so will be able to drink for a change instead of driving. Going for a 1-0 win with higdon scoring just after half time.
