Went for O'Brien for getting stuck in at the back.

His distribution was verging on hopeless, but as far as actual defending goes I went for O'Brien.

O'brien is very uncomfortable with the ball at his feet but good old fashioned defending today. Best game in a Motherwell jersey.

Ojamaa is the only player who put in a shift, which I would have paid to see today, if I had the choice after the event.

Yeah he's fitting the profile that the Derby fans suggested. Good raw defender but hopeless with the ball at his feet.

Went for O'Brien for his work in the first half, but it's also one of the first times I have seen Law put a shift in. It's fair to say that the only excitement was when Ojamaa linked with Ainsworth. More of that.

Josh Law for myself; I thought he was excellent today. Composed, hard working, and made a real effort to make things happen.

 

I can also fully see cases for Ojamaa, O'Brien (bar the hideous passing), and to a degree, Lasley.

I didn't think anyone was great but for me Lasley was the only one bothering his shirt in the first half. He put a shift in and was constantly trying to get the team to step out a bit. Unfortunately we had absolutely nothing up front or down the sides until Ainsworth came on and he was flogging a dead horse to a certain extent.

I thought Law especially in the first half when our midfield were all over the place he got his foot on the ball kept possession and passed to a teammate. Simple but few others in claret and amber achieved it.

I thought O'Brien was far from MotM tbh. His passing, awareness and decision making, pre-requisites of being a professional footballer, are almost non-existant. Fluffed his lines several times where we were lucky not to be punished and was caught out of position a few times.

 

 

Ojamaa and Twardzik the stand outs again, with Henrik shading it with his goal and Dan's piss poor distribution putting it in his favour. Lasley had a decent game, if trying to do far too much. Josh Law also put in a decent performance.

Dan for me, made some excellent saves again and bailed out O'Brien/McManus with a few.

 

Thought O'Brien was absolutely chronic and at fault for the second goal; didn't see the first properly.
