Glenmorangie
I ditto all the pleasantries. btw G you should give Benromach a try. Lovely wee Speyside malt with smokey finish. Just fine with ginger ale Ginger ale my arse!
Special aka
Was up Tain way last week, what a reek coming from that pig farm at the top end of town Yes Gaag, Balblair is very nice, (with sprite), and produced just along the Dornoch from G's beloved Glenmorangie. Have to stay loyal to the local Speyside malts tho
Gaag
I was up staying at Dornoch Castle Hotel a few weeks ago, was lovely. Sampled Benromach for the first time, that was nice too
Special aka
Dornoch Castle is stunning. Only been in the bar, but right up my street; slate floor and stone walls and a belter of a coal fire, and what about that stud'd oak front door ? What's it like to stay in ? Comfortable rooms, good food ?

Comfortable rooms, good food ? Yeah, well it was my girls birthday and i took her away for it. The place is beautiful, and unique which i really like! The rooms are even better! That is, if you ever stay, make sure you get one of the rooms in the castle part... they are far superior to the ones in the extension. We had sherry and whiskey in decanters in our room, a bottle of champagne, a plasma tv (with setanta!) lovely views over the garden etc. And the food is sublime! They have an award winning chef there. If you're really interested, i left a review on Trip Advisor

AllyMax
Glad the forum is back. It might surprise you, but there's no one to talk to about The 'Well on the Isle Of Bute. It's a haven of hunnery and timmery with the odd Morton fan thrown in
