Excellent! Well, given that Dougie Arnott is a living legend, I reckon we should work the dates around him.

If each team has six folk paying £20, and we have a Steelmenonline team, a FirParkCorner team, a Trust team, a Jack Daniels team, an MFC team and now a wee Thackitt team, then that's £720 of a pot. I reckon Colin would do it for little or nowt if he was involved, and we could spend £20 on a trophy, give each player in the winning team £100 and give £100 to Youth Developement.

What do you all think? My only concern with that is if we make the prize money so much, it may get taken a bit too seriously.

Pokers not a game for pissheads!

"It's not the winning, it's the taking part"... That's loser speak!!

I would suggest £50 a head prize money and £100 to youth development plus the remaining £300 ish on actual prizes, for example a chip set, cards, chip guard etc.

OK, that's fine. I'll happily go along with that. I won't be involved anyway - as long as everyone's happy with that then we've got a plan!

Why not involved? I was only kidding, it'll not be that serious!

Plus, it's very easy to learn if you don't know how to play.

You would get a good few folks like me along just trying to work out how to play the game! I've been a regular in JDs for over 20 years and still can't work out Poker, I do have a drink at all times right enough!
