Bill Bones
Has anybody seen him play? 30-odd appearances in 6 years at Airdire doesn't suggest much talent to be honest.
Finlay
Has anybody seen him play? 30-odd appearances in 6 years at Airdire doesn't suggest much talent to be honest. Indeed. Which was why I thought this; "Hollis, 24, came through the youth ranks at New Broomfield before making his senior debut, aged just eighteen, against Queen of the South at Palmerston Park. Despite his young age, he has gone on to play a further 30 times for the Diamonds but was released, along with the rest of the Airdrie squad, at the end of last season." was a rather unique way of introducing a new player. I can only imagine he is friends with Kerr, rated as a good back up by Kerr, and extremely cheap due to being a back up 1st Div/2nd Div keeper and currently unemployed. Wellarmy
Give him a chance ffs, he's not even played yet and people are writting him off. Tbh the boys amount of appearances at Airdrie in the past 6 years where in that time they have been effectively relegated 3 times isnt that good a record. People have a right to be sceptical I think. I'm quite happy to let this guy come in and do a job. Good luck to him.
Ian-in-Oz
If Fraser buggers off to Pingu Utd we get another keeper (according to reports possibly Ruddy on another loan deal) but if Fraser stays then these 2 muppets will be our keepers this season. According to Brown the Airdrie boy is a quality keeper but if Airdire fans are to be believed then he's a piece of pish & Brown's showing is age & maybe needs a wee trip to Optical Express. All fair minded fans will say let's give the boy a chance but as Fraser found out Motherwell fans can be very unforgiving. Well im going to assume Brown knows what he's doing and it will all work out for the best.

smeddum07
Need to give him a chance cheap back player! But get rid of Fraser and put his wages towards a new one seems fair enough
Ya Bezzer!
Has anybody seen him play? 30-odd appearances in 6 years at Airdire doesn't suggest much talent to be honest. John Ruddy had 1 appearance at Everton and had spent the rest of his career making 5 appearances for Walsall here, 3 appearances for Rushden & Diamonds there. Lukas Jutkiewicz had a grand total of 5 goals in 5 years as a professional and hadn't scored since 2007 when he arrived at Fir Park Tom Hateley was released by Reading without making a single appearance for the team and had 15 games in the Conference South as the sum of his career up to that point. You could have quite easily written all of these guys off on their record before they came to Fir Park but every one of them turned out to be much better than could have possibly been expected from their career stats. Give Hollis a chance before you judge him.

I'm glad Paul Slane is your hero, I mean, you must asipre to have yer arse torn at Lennoxtown after the repeated molestation you must have suffered at Addiewell. The fact it was in the comfort of your 'ensuite shower' must only make you feel even more like a real man. Infact, the guys at Addiewell made you right hard. You'll be able to break into Lennoxtown to offer yourself on a silver platter.

We just have to wait and see if he gets the opportunity to fulfil his potential. It will be interesting to see if he starts the season as 2nd or 3rd choice keeper. If Fraser goes, and he will, I wouldn't be surprised to see 2 more keepers arrive.

Give Hollis a chance before you judge him. The fact that he's not a regular for a shite, shite team like Airdrie is a major worry. I wouldnt be confident taking their number1 keeper as back-up let alone their back-up keeper as back-up considering that they have just spent the last 3 years dodging (and ultimately failing to dodge) relegation in the 1st Division. Goalkeeper is a vital position at any football club and we can't afford to go into next season with Fraser and Hollis as our only names in that position. The fact that he is only 6ft and 11stone is also a bit worrying for me as well.

ONeils40yarder
Because any cross into the box will now give me the fear, if him or Fraser are in goals.
