Thats what happens when you go by bus. People set fire to you when your sleeping, put all your hotel furniture in the toilet and make long distance phone calls from your room

My lasting memory of Dortmund was leaving the county bar in carluke at shutting time getting on the bus to Germany and somebody spewing on the bus at law hospital

Dortmund game brings back some really good memories. I went to school in Dortmund, so Dad my 2 uncles and me went over. Spent time with our German friends before hand. After the game we went back to our digs in Frondenburg and a shandy or 2 with the locals. Beforehand everyone was DORTMUND ARE GOING TO KILL YOU, that night they were telling us they could not belive how good we were. The local press was full of dread of coming to FP and they really thought they could be going out...

 

Our friends were over visiting last week and we were talking about the game and hoping we could get a reply this year.

Me tae, never took to them after their cheating back here. Still it was a compliment in a way that they felt the need to resort to such tactics to ensure victory. That and I could never see me wearing a luminous yella jersey like they had.

Brings back so many memories, found a picture of me, my dad, my uncle and a couple of mates, means even more as my dad past away last year, brought a wee tear to my eye, thanks for the pictures Decerator

Sorry to hear about yer dad mate.

 

Hopefully one day Trucks' penny will drop and he'll appreciate that threads such as thing remind us of some very fond memories.

 

I'm sure in 20years time the young lads who made it to Nancy and Llanelli et all, will equally enjoy such reminising.
