numpty started following MOTM Dundee 07-Mar-2026

I'm being realistic. We have won nothing. Yes playing good football but who realistically thinks jba will be there next season? Had some good nights especially at Mirren but Mwell always selling club old firm will improve next season. I wish we do keep manager and players but without proper money behind us it's not realistic.
-
No its not, it will be in 9 games then its prize time, and we can all start planning the European tour, with the club counting the mllions in prize money. There is still a lot to play for, we may not win the title, but we will have a big say in who does, hopefully at the expense of both ugly sisters.
-
Bet your having a happy Saturday night, away and wring yer pants oot.
-
Shat it, again. Season over.
-
Just checked bbc stats,21 shots 9 on target, some of the shooting was woeful tbf . Dundee had 2 shots on target...like I say good luck to them...plenty had written Pressley off before season.
- Today
-
Today. Dundee had just over 30% possession. They scored twice. Had a goal chalked off for offside and hit the underside of the bar. That's being efficient. Too many times we don't turn possession and touches in the opposition box into goals. We need more strength in the midfield to win tackles. Too many times Dundee easily won the ball in the midfield and broke forward. We need to find ways to win scrappy physical games. The balance between finesse and strength is not quite right. We are a better footballing team than Dundee for sure but we need to add some physical strength.
-
Can't see us improving next season as probably half team will be sold and manager off also. Every season is rebuild for Mwell unless we sell one player and invest wisely.
-
Probably, the Falkirk and Hibs games will be a better test. Celtic are a better team than us, and if we take anything from next week's game it will be a surprise, although not impossible.
-
I agree with most of that Jim but in the cold light of day this team is excellent but simply not good enough to win silverware. Or, should I say, lacks the necessary qualities. Margins are thin, but but good football alone wins nothing. Lets just enjoy the football and irrespective of whether we end up 4th or 5th it will have been a great season and gives us hope that we can improve for next season.
-
We had plenty shots at goal, about half a dozen. Let's not change yhe narrative, we didn't defend well enough today but we are a far better team than Dundee...fair play to them
-
If only we could have been slightly better away from home. The only team that has got results away regularly are Hearts and they are top. We lack something different in attack when teams play so deep and negatively. Something to improve on. Dundee did this against Celtic. But Celtic got their usual 10 mins on extra time.
-
It’ll be really interesting how we recover from this today in next weeks game. I’m hoping to see some real determination at Celtic park and I hope that defeat today hurts the players and hurts Askou
-
Ifs buts and maybes, sentimental pish, we are having a great season and its not over yet, so lets all get behind the team ans see where we end up.
-
Next season we could easily be without half the team and manager so that really was our one chance at being legends. As with every Mwell team, most leave after season if playing well. So close but so far from glory !
-
I actually thought Priestman played well when he came on.
-
I never thought we'd finish in the top 3 and today's result hasn't changed my mind. There's still a lot to play for as 4th place is by no means guaranteed. I felt that, going into today's game, we needed to keep our feet on the ground. That result today will help and temper the expectations of many. If there was any doubt about our lack of bottle and ruthlessness then Dundee have removed that. It will prove to be a valuable lesson going forward. We're having a fantastic season, but still have shortcomings that need rectified
-
Fair enough. Never saw a replay.
-
Ffs why are people still going on about the 5 changes that put us out of the cup. It was 10 men after 3 mins and 9 after 46 down to ridiculous referreeing and var, that put us out that renders any changes or game plan irrelevant. Only our 4th defeat in 29 games today, the title might be a step too far now, but our start to the season made that an unrealistic objective. We can still finish 2nd or 3rd and qualify for Europe, which given where we were at the start of the season most fans would have bitten your hand off for a finish like that. Its a sore one today especially after pulling it back to 1-1, but there are 27 points left to play for, so runners up and a champions league spot anyone
-
This has crossed my mind also.
-
Thought JT was very poor today. But as there was no space it was not really a game for him. We bring on the big man, but given we cant cross a ball it was always going to be difficult for him. When we scored we needed to calm the game down. It became to frantic and left us open at back. A point at that point was better than nothing. For once our defence let us down with punts up the park. Hope Fadinger is ok as we missed him.
-
I just get over emotional as this was our only hope of a league title but we've blown it before we have even got to the split. Was probably a pipe dream and still been an amazing season. Would love it if we could beat that horrible mob next week
-
He was holding on to the defender and fell no penalty
-
Poor performance. Did we have a shot at goal apart from free kicks? To be honest you could have subbed anyone today. Maybe some of them like Maswhansie and Just believing the press hype that appeared this week with talk of big moves. I am afraid that Dundee wanted it more and thoroughly deserved the win. That's three times we have bottled it when it really mattered. Twice in the cups and then today. Had to feel for Priestman. Comes on as a sub and then gets subbed. Especially when Just was screaming to be subbed today
-
One of those days. We weren't bad per se, but were too often trying to force play into congested areas.
