  1. Past hour
  2. Ancient jokes probably. 🙄
  3. Today
  4. I think he was fit very briefly under JBA, with the emphasis on briefly. All we've been told is that he's out until after New Year, which could mean anything.
  5. Check yer inbox it’s full Now Now I didn’t say what’s it full of 😇
  6. Maybe Caledonian Braves can clydebank them with all that money they scammed off of Americans.
  7. Because he's got pals in the meedja . No much of a manager even less of a pundit.
  8. Yesterday
  9. Well that's informed unbiased punditry - not. Why is he being employed?
  10. I noticed on BBC preview of game it has, in addition to usual list of long term injuries, Jordan McGhee out with thigh injury. Couldn’t remember, is this a long term injury and has he has ever been fit for selection under JBA?
  11. As a side note, Ian McCall said today St Mirren were his favourite team to watch. When Si Ferry chinned him about saying we'd get relegated, McCall confirmed he said it because Askou's comments annoyed him.
  12. 😂 I thought this may be picked up on. He did say right to win, rather than right to play football though, which is less moronic
  13. Ohh! matron 😲😲
  14. Spot on mate. It's probably no coincidence that people started appreciating SOD a lot more under the disappearing German and JBA.
  15. Can I also say what an achievement for SOD to get 200 appearances. Really pleased for him as some of the stick he has taken over the years has been ridiculous. Aye made mistakes but who doesn't? He never hides and actually is a player who fits into JBA style unlike the garbage "just punt it" from Kettlewell. He also got badly treated by Alexander. Well done SOD
  16. Yup i hope they survive. I am a Hamilton lad and lived there until Mrs grizzly and I moved in together ( still a sore subject for her 🤣🤣). Got a few mates that are accies fans and they aren't hopeful, club being run terribly
  17. Maybe getting a guy with an arts degree to run his business wasn't a good idea either. I ended up interconnected with another 'boyle enterprise' and believe me, he's fucked up a lot more than just Motherwell and Zoom airlines. Well meaning maybe, no very good at stuff, definitely. (Obviously caveated by the fact that he made a fortune with direct holidays, but his brother was in the driving seat for that one).
  18. Absolutely agree. Malice or incompetence in the single-owner model can be equally disastrous, though, which is why I am more comfortable with the current setup, even with all its challenges.
  19. The "earn the right" phrase is typically used by managers who believe you aren't allowed to pass the ball for the first half hour. Only punts and hard tackles. As we have shown many times this season, it's also a legitimate tactic to come out of the blocks playing the game you want to play and imposing that on the opposition from the first minute.
  20. It was a Robinson thing.....we have to play dinosaur football first because we have to 'earn the right to play football'. Used to get right on my nipple ends !
  21. I dont think any of Boyles actions, decisions etc were made with any malicious or fradulent intent, for me it was just naievety and a lack of understanding of the particular environment re football in west central scotland. Spending money we could not afford in chasing a dream we were never going to realise.
  22. I dont see anything wrong with using that phrase, its true, no oposition is going to sit back and let us take 3 points. The players need to give 100% effort, stick to how JBA wants us to play, eliminate the daft errors etc and then we will have earned the right to win games by being better than the opposition in all aspects.
  23. Forget the sheep, tame or wild. John Boyle nearly finished us off, and he was on our side.
  24. Yep. Total sliding doors moment that one, and ill never get over the "but he's American" of it all. Right now we could all be talking about the finale of an epic Netflix series titled "Steelmen: Stuart Kettlewell's initial remarks, pt 22"
  25. I just wish he hadn't used the words 'earn the right' !!!
  26. It's scary how this situation could materialize at just about any club, where a dodgy owner loses the run of themselves, or internal politics strangle a club. Even owners/execs with best of intentions can royally screw things up. What has happened at Accies over the last few years is just a whole other level though. How it took until now to deem their owner and chief execs as not fit and proper to run a football club beats me.
