  2. The last two times I can remember us playing Rangers at home on opening day were in 2006 and 2017 and we lost both 1-2. I don’t see this year being any better and looking at our first three fixtures I don’t see us getting anything. The home game v. Kettlewell’s mob looks like our best chance of picking up points early in the campaign.
  3. It’s not that I doubt his commitment or ability. I just don’t think he’s the big, commanding centre forward we need (e.g. Bair or KVV). That said, maybe JBA can get more out of him this season, especially if we play a 4-3-3 with proper wingers to support him. Still, I suspect the manager will look to bring in a more physically dominant striker. Ultimately, I can’t see Stama still being here by the third year of his contract, especially if this season mirrors the last.
  4. There’s nothing honestly better for me than either Celtic or Rangers on the first day of the season at fir park. so many good memories of these games, starts the season with a blast and not to tempt fate, usually some sort of positive result. Cmon the Well.
  5. Might be a good time to get Rangers first game of the season
  6. https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2025/06/20/2025-26-premiership-fixtures-confirmed/ Rangers at home on the opening day.....at 5.30pm

  8. Declan Gallagher signs for Ross County and Euan Murray signs for Queens Park.

  10. I was interested in your previous last take on Stama - doubting ability, or the fact he wants to be here?
  11. He was probably just saying it’s another couple of weeks before his chocolate knees give out again.
  12. Funny enough I ended up in Wetherspoons today, days off. but was the one in Motherwell of course 🤣 It took me back to 2005 for some reason. The old place hasn't changed at all but the reason I say 2005 is I got in some disagreement with a guy about Gerry Britton for some reason after he signed lol . I was giving him the benefit of the doubt of course That was a short lived one looking back now 😄
  13. There was a short clip of him in the intro video where he tells Askou "a couple of weeks". Not sure if that's when he's due back, or how long it's been since his last haircut now that his permacrock pal has left .
  14. What's the situation with Sam Nicholson? Is he now training or is he expected to be out for a few more months?
  15. MATTTRRROOONNNNNNNNN
  16. Unless he needs his wrist to run or kick a ball, he should be fully recovered and fit for pre-season.
  17. Wine - and it's cheaper here in the wetherspoon than it is at home - (if you buy two glasses), no min pricing, not that I would ever do that Not me. Never (she lied) I do feel good about the season ahead
  18. This time of year is always the best, when you can sit out in the sun with a beer and imagine that we might have a good season in store.
  19. Scorching here too - Isle of Wight - sitting in the pub with my Motherwell T shirt on. (not just that incase there's an incoming joke)
  20. Aye....but it's too bright!! 🤪🤪😎😎
  21. Sun's out here too, and I agree 100% with MJC about that training gear. Much better than last season's effort.

    New kit for 2025/26

    Well the sun’s out I suppose…
  23. You all right? That sounds almost positive 🤣🤣🤣
  24. I still think there is a player there. Was coming onto good run before he hot injured and was actually played in proper position
  25. I wasn’t sure, glad to see him training as I think if he’s fit he’ll make a massive difference to us.
  26. Was he not getting fit at the end of last season, but Wimmer thought no point in risking him?
  27. MJC

    New kit for 2025/26

Not the kit obviously but the new black training gear worn by our new boss looks absolutely amazing. A major upgrade on last seasons efforts!
