  1. Past hour
  2. With 30 months left on his contract and Celtic being desperate we are in the driving seat. It will have to be silly money surely for us to sell in this window. Celtic are not a good team and we can finish above them so why weaken us to strengthen them? Strikers scoring goals, with pace are rare.
  3. He could have just been there to watch the game. The media are really keen to make a Maswanhise move happen.
  4. Ap stam did try. He’s just shite, absolutely rotten. Needs to be moved on pronto
  5. I thought Ross had beating of his man and should've ran at him more often
  6. He gave the impression of someone who just could not be bothered today. His usual workrate was non existent. Mind it cant be easy playing against 3 center backs and deep midfield. Also we seldom cross the ball and created nothing for him, tho he has to get into decent positions.
  7. He's probably not done anything wrong, just pretty average at most things strikers should do
  8. Results are all that matters in the cup, and we got what we needed without having to give up much. The lineup wasn't very inspiring, but it was good to see Connelly pretty much slot right in. He played a little deeper than Ward, but still looked more than capable of starting more games if needed. Ross didnt do much but it seems that the instructions are very clear to our full backs not to try and bomb past their man and get crosses in. Which is good, because we're still pretty had at them. When we brought JBA in, a big deal was made about how many minutes he gives young players, so it's good so see him start doing that for us. It was easy for the club to gloat about academy player minutes when we had Lennon Miller available to us, but hopefully this is the start of a new crop coming through. I think if we had got the goal earlier we'd have scored a bunch, but they were ultra defensive, and didn't even commit much in attack when we did score. I liked how patient we were, giving them very few counter attack opportunities, which is essentially all SKs teams do. Good to see that Cornelius still likes running around. How nice was it to celebrate a goal and not immediately have to worry about VAR. Also, are folk trying to make TJ a thing despite the players and multiple managers calling him JT sonce day one?
  9. He doesn't seem interested, really don't know what his " trick" is.
  10. Money is tight at this time of year. Together with poor form from some teams, its no suprise at the numbers. One thing is our fans always turn up for cup games.
  11. “No no, no no, no chance. Just hits the deck under very minimal contact…” Sounds like something a Rangers fan would say rather than the referee.
  12. The crowds across all the games were surprisingly low for the Scottish cup. 1800 at Livingston and, surely a BBC misprint, 4373 at Tannadice, 4501 at Kilmarnock so makes ours look very respectable.
  13. This is my biggest gripe with VAR. Instead of hoping VAR steps in, the ref should be able to request it. He should be able to say "I need another look at that". The rules around VAR seem to involve more bureaucracy than South Lanarkshire council.
  14. Today
  15. Delighted to get into the next round Wasn't the greatest of games , but most pleasing thing of the day for me 8 home games in a row since we lost a goal 👏
  16. Oscar was comfortable all day and started quite a few moves. I was expecting him to be play more of the Watt role but either it was a deliberate tactic not to have a player building the play or he wasn’t disciplined enough. Special mention to Fadinger who injected much needed pace into game and definitely was the main reason we scored even if final touch was from JT
  17. In general, he’s rarely in the right place at the right time, and when he is, he mostly fluffs it. He’s just not got it.
  18. Yes. I agree. There were a lot of shouts from JBA for AP to get more involved. Worse than not being able to play the style of football, he didn’t seem interested in making an effort.
  19. He seemed to say that the VAR cameras were inconclusive but other footage did show it was a pen. I think one of our players ran across and blocked the view at the crucial moment. However it was right in front of the ref so how did he miss it? In his head he maybe thinks ah I’ll leave that one to VAR… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I've defended him in the past but AP was really poor today. Just doesn't look like he's on the same wavelength as the rest of the team.
  21. Did he bring Welsh with him?
  22. Aye, there's no such thing as a poor cup win.
  23. Some folk are just never happy.
  24. Just made a big difference when he came on and Maswanhise, although he didn't have his best game, got the goal and made the difference. However I'd go for Connelly. Made a couple of good/decent saves and looked confident playing in the Askou style.
  25. We played OK today but everything was a little bit flat. The team line up, the engagement of the crowd, the overall performance, there was definately a sense that we'd just breeze through this tie without trying. Maybe 'complacency' is too strong a word because we dominated the match but at the same time we weren't at our true levels and then when you take out the amount of quality we were missing today it was verging on being a bit laboured. We'll have to go up a few levels if we want to win a trophy but we are through and that's the main thing.
  26. I went for Oscar, a very accomplished performance. Connolly, Maswanhise, Sparrow and S O'D, of the starters, deserve mention, Fadinger and Just were standouts when they appeared.
