They are desperate. Lets not sell ourselves short when we dont need to sell. They are cronic so why strengthen them and weaken us.
-
The fact that he's still hanging around there at 25 is crazy, as he's never had a look in. They just keep these guys around to meet quotas for European games.
-
Totally screwed us over. If they offer us £10 million now for Mas tell them to F**k off
-
Make no mistake. Celtic recalled Welsh and played him tonight for exactly this purpose. Subbing him off for Scales on 74mins proves it.
-
I went £4m but fill yer boots! Im in!
-
They have treated Welsh appallingly. How not to motivate a player or encourage any up and comming youngster. I hope their pettyness does not go unnoticed by our decision makers.
-
Every club that was offered the option voted against. Telling......
-
Dear Martin............£8 million and Maswanhise is yours
-
Tv games have to use VAR apparently. The rest got to choose. With the costs involved its no suprise many opted not to use.
-
Ok googled amd its apparently decided on a game by game basis but not sure what happens if one team says yes amd one team says no.
-
Bastard just took Welsh off anaw.
-
I’m not convinced Celtic would let him come back anyway, they’ll penny pinch and not be able to buy a centre half and to be honest, Welsh is the best they have. I’m sure JBA is already looking at other defenders. What will be will be. Welsh has now been taken off anyway….. he doesn’t look a happy boy!
-
Are we using VAR in cup games? I thought, no! however, they just used it in Celtic game.
-
If he can come back on same terms we had him then why not take him? we are stronger with him than without him. we have 16 league games left amd assumimg top six finish he can play 14. Although misseS out on any cup games. regardless of what we say I’m pretty sure JBA will take him back in a heartbeat and pretty much said so.
-
We've also got a lot of important games that he would be able to play in,welsh could slot back into our team as if he hasn't been away,he's been playing and he's fit,the chances of us signing someone that is match fit in january is next to zero and then to try and get them up to speed in how we play.for me welsh should be our first choice but only if it's done this week.
-
I actually meant "many" but point still stands. TBH, I'd have been looking for a replacement anyway, as you can't depend on loans. But I'd be happy enough to see him back, and maybe give him the notion to sign a deal next season.
-
Sellik away
-
When things were bad Nick Daws took pelters but now we are doing well he is never mentioned. I would guess he spotted maswanhise and Watt so full credit to him
-
Have we lost any games when he didn't play?
-
What if we don't
-
But it's not just a possible cup final - he's not eligible now to play in any games to get us to the final. OK then. Too many important games that he "CAN'T" play in between now and the end of the season.
-
I wouldnt have him back now either. Celtic chose to recall him. They have now chosen to cup tie him. They will undoubtedly come back and offer him as a makeweight in any deal for Maswanhise. Id be telling them no thanks. Just show us your cash ( lets start at £4m). If they still want to loan him back to us at that point and we still need cover, then Id maybe think about it. But lets do it on our terms, not theirs.
-
Regarding Tawanda, obviously everyone has a price & a crazy offer means he's gone. What i do think is that hes an asset of increasing value. 23 years old, has really come onto a game & has added goals. The way he is progressing he's going to be worth more in the summer. So basically dont sell unless theres an offer we cant refuse
-
So you would not welcome back one of our best performers this season just because he might miss a couple of games ie league and possibly a cup final against Celtic, ok then.
-
What if we lose our next cup match?
