Your last sentence applies to yourself i assume, since I’ve been on this site a few years now and I almost fell over when I read that. Or does it need a sarcastic emoji there to clarify? 😃
This ties into the investor/WS topic. If we didn’t have to sell to survive we could name our price and either get more money or keep him longer and not worry about missing out on a transfer fee.
So in our current situation you are probably correct in as much that we don’t want to risk loosing out on what is a big chunk of money for us.
Obviously we are not challenging for Europe but I’m having trouble finding out what spots are up for grabs. Is it 2 champions league, 1 Europa league and 2 conference league? Or alternately, how many Scottish teams will qualify for European competitions?
That’s a good point you raise. As well as knowing what proposed investment option is (yes vote) we also need to know what WS investment option is (no vote) in order to make a fully knowledgeable decision we need to know what both options mean for the future. I also don’t know if accepting the option currently under discussion means we can’t entertain any further investment or would MFC still be able to attract and accept further investment? Or perhaps that part of the current proposal that the investors would seek further investment from their sources. This is not about fan ownership or not it’s about ensuring the continued existence of MFC and that could be fan ownership or maybe not? Perhaps some hybrid?
I hope we find out details soon so that people can comment/discuss on factual information. As someone mentioned earlier the discussion seems to be going around in circles. Additionally, speaking as captain obvious, it would be good to have this sorted out in time to know our resources/budget for building up the squad for next season.
The 2-4 defeat we were terrible but the other two games 3-3 and 0-1 we didn’t have much luck with the officiating calls. So I expect it to be close again and perhaps a wee bit of good luck for us to see us getting 3 points.
