You missed Gordon. 3-4 signings sounds about right. Unless Robinson is due back soon, we need 2 forwards. Maybe Ross, Fadinger, or Wells are considered part of a front 3? I wonder if we will take advantage of the flexible loan thing that starts this year, to keep the young players getting minutes but still being available for us.

I don't think so. Robinson was out for the season (last season) and Nicolson was in surgery in February and it was said he would be out for months. Stuparevics injury would seem to be the most serious of the three. Would expect so see Robinson and Nicolson to feature at some point next season

It's not quite a clean slate but with some players moving on already and a good fee for miller almost certainly incoming then there should be enough scope for the new manager to make the changes that's required.no harm to any of the guys that are out of contract that might yet stay but I hope none of them do.

I would very much doubt that. If the club have been happy where we are training and have been for the last few years I don't see them changing that.

Stuparevic has a Ionger term injury but if the other two are recovering don't see why they shouldn't play a part next season.

Aye he's back at carlisle and won't be returning as he's very much in there managers plans for the coming season.

I think we need to write off Nicholson, Robinson and Stuparevic from the squad. They are unlikely to contribute anything this season. Miller will obviously also be gone at some point. That leaves us Oxborough, Ward SOD, Koutroumbis, McGinn, Balmer, Wilson, McGhee Sparrow, Halliday, Slattery, Fadinger, Wells, Ross Stama, Maswanhise Of those out of contract, I think the only one Id try to keep is Seddon and at a push Paton. Thats a squad of 18 at present, which I would say leaves us room for at least 4 signings to improve the quality available for the starting 11 and resign some of the existing squad to places on the bench. If Sylla is one of those, I think we need a centre half, attacking midfielder, and a striker (2 would be nice).

Armstrong is back at Carlisle as far as I'm aware.

Now that we know the manager I suppose the focus will be on the ins and outs. I’d say first task is we need to strengthen the middle of the defence. A good quality midfielder with some pace. A good old fashioned centre Forward. Maybe Armstrong would work under a different manager and more attacking style of play? speedy winger. I think we have some decent players in our squad and adding just a small number of players with the right qualities in the right positions could vastly improve our performances and results. I know we already signed McGhee and Fadinger so in addition to them ……. minimum: 4 players strong centre back midfielder with pace strong imposing centre forward speedy winger maximum: 4 mentioned above + 2 others Moving some of our existing squad would make it easier to bring in new faces but it has to be quality over quantity. I think we already have quantity so we need to change that to having quality.

That was a St Mirren fan at the wind up. Not the first of the day, and I doubt it'll be the last.

I suspect that a lot of the money will go on a new training facility as previous managers have said that what we use at the moment is inadequate and has made it difficult for us to sign some players
