  2. Cant see him signing any new deal without a guaranteed release clause, and while that may be fine for us with most players, Miller is a potential goldmine. Setting a clause too low does us no favours. Too high & he wont sign. Hypothetical clearly but then we have the issue of wages. No idea what the lad gets but given his age & our budget youv got to expect <£1500 per week. Would he really sign something like then when he can already 'probably' command upwards of £20k per week? The lad will be offski
  3. Today
  4. As I said, I'd be very surprised if he done that - it doesn't really make any sense for a player to do it. We can't tie anyone's arms up their backs and force them to buy Miller, but hopefully we've got club officials using their contacts to get a move up and running. I'm slightly concerned about the lack of movement so far, as we could be doing with the money to be fired straight into a project.
  5. Yesterday
  6. The talk was that he was going to sign an extra year to get us more money
  7. Turnbull’s example? That subject has been done to death and no amount of revisionism changes it. David Turnbull extended an existing deal for David Turnbull. Club benefitted from pre-agreed deal with Celtic. Thats not a slate on the player either.
  8. Has anyone bought tickets for Stenhousemuir yet? It's a tad confusing. Our site mentions the Away end aka the Smillie enclosure which is standing only. However when we actually try to buy tickets, we also seem to be able to purchase them in the seated Norway Stand which is better for old timers and those who are vertically challenged. As an aside, age concessions start at 67 not 65.
  9. Thats very unfair. It's just 2 poor lads trying to scrape together their retirement fund in these hard times. No final salary scheme for them. 🤣
  10. I'm not disagreeing with you but if we don't get any serious offers hes going nowhere and if that happens for me I think he will copy Turnbulls example and sign a new deal to ensure the club does not lose out financially when he eventually moves on.
  11. I'd be surprised if he signed a new deal...very surprised. We've really got to get him out the door in the coming weeks
  12. I have vague memory of a game at Bellshill before , 1998 I think. Was the old Brandon Park back then and we were playing in the away top Shivute scored in at Ibrox the season before Sure a guy called Kevin Christie was playing and he made a very poor pass at one point , one of the players shouted Come on Kev FFS , something like that. Believe it to be Andy Thomson who sadly passed away months later
  13. Until the club gets a firm and serious offer he is part of the team and I've no doubt he will prepare himself accordingly for the new season. If the club gets no bids then he carries on as normal and if that happens I've no doubt he will sign a new deal to protect his own and the clubs interests. He will move on but it will be at a time that suits him and the club and Until then he will be an integral part of the team.
  14. Don't think it's a huge deal, tbh. I'd imagine he'll train with us until his move is finalised, but the manager will be trying out Miller-less formations in the early matches if he's still around. I would not be surprised if his move isn't finalised until August, especially if it is overseas with all the additional red tape involved.
  15. Its quite quiet on the Miller front. I think that leaves us in a pickle.... 1- He plays pre-season but wont really be part of the plans as he will be gone 2- he gets injured and doesn't go anywhere I hate to say it but the quicker he is gone the more settled the team will be
  16. Anyone got Ellery Balcombe's number?
  17. TBF, I don't think the club have commented. Only the Daily Record is reporting it. Which either means he starts tomorrow, or out until Christmas.
  18. That's Wellspeak for 2 months.
  19. Any idea the extent of Ox injury
  20. Was to be expected with the news of Oxborough's injury we'll keep him for the bench until he's back and then loan him out again i'd assume.
  21. That's Matty Connelly signed on for another year
  22. I'll be coming back from Oasis, I hope to be back for KO, is it PATG?
