  1. Who phoned the screws Mrs Robinson? Stephen only gave you a light blow. Whoa whoa whoa.

  2. Let's keep our powder dry at this time folks, comments can be made after his court appearance.

  3. Agreed. But given he has plead not guilty, police confirmed there were no injuries and there hasn't been a trial or a verdict yet - I'd still contend that potentially life-changing injuries dished out by Gallagher and Quinn are more serious (from a criminal perspective. I'm not advocating in favour of domestic violence here!) Regardless, I hate the rush to judgement of the torch wielding social media mobs. The recent Carl Beech debacle is one extreme example of how these things turn into witch hunts. If he's found guilty, then we can start discussing his future.

  4. What I heard a few weeks ago is that his partner didn't want to press charges but the entire incident is on CCTV which means it's not up to her. The club have known about this for over a month so you expect Burrows and the board to have prepared a public response and a strategy for dealing with this. If anyone thinks we can keep a manager in place who has been convicted of assualting his partner in the current climate of media scrutiny of abuse of women they are kidding themselves on. It'll be interesting to see how the Scottish football media cover this given how they turn a blind eye to Neil Lennon's history of abusing his partners as well as the circumstances around his exit from Hibs.

  5. Looking forward to this one, it has the makings of a good, hard fought Scottish Cup tie. I think we’ll sneak it 1-0.

  6. Whatever way you look at it, this isn't a great look for Robinson or the club. At the moment, the club statement is really all that can be said or done. We obviously have to wait for the outcome of the trial before we can deal with any conclusions that the court reaches.

  7. I was told that he is being charged on the basis of the CCTV footage rather than witness statements. Obviously I've not seen it but the PF are proceeding so it's unlikely to be good for him. You can be convicted on the basis of CCTV evidence alone in Scotland.

  8. Have you seen the footage? What's on it? Is the judge allowing it as evidence? What defence is being put up against it? Is video evidence sufficient for this specific charge or is corroboration required? Etc. etc. But keep speculating - it's really helpful.

  9. Might need to stuff a phone up his arse so he can phone in tactics to Lasley.

  11. I know this is an crazy thought, but maybe wait for a trial (with facts and evidence and stuff) and an actual verdict, before sacking him.

  13. Great news! I can be very critical of him as he may not be the best player but I like him and glad he’s staying. Gives 110% effort and where’s his heart on his sleeve which is a minimum requirement to be liked at the well and he loves us too!
