  1. Aye looks like there's next to no chance he stays, which is a pity. If Celtic or any other Scottish club want him they should have to pay a premium as previously mentioned. Hopefully we get a decent wedge which can go towards infrastructure but for us fans it'll be a loss not seeing him do his stuff until January.
  2. You're all over the shop as usual mate. Let's move onto happier matters...like David Turnbull.
  3. In what way does discussing whether or not Celtic could afford Turnbull after paying out on compo claims show any sort of respect to victims?
  4. It's nothing to do with an idea of protecting Celtic, it's about respecting those who have been abused. As i've said there may be a place for it, this isn't it.
  5. Lads if you want to discuss this go create a thread about it. Discussing these issues in the same breadth as posters claiming that Celtic couldn't afford one of our players because of it, is insensitive in the extreme. It's not the place for it.
  6. What does any of this have to do with David Turnbull? Look at the thread title.
  7. Cretin. The matter will be dealt with by the appropriate people. Abuse victims and their families don't need the likes of you using their experiences as one-upmanship on a football forum. It's hardly the correct place to 'discuss' these things on a thread about football transfers is it? Have a word with yourself.
  8. Re. Motherwell for some reason i've got a feeling we're going to have a really positive season next year, not really sure what i'm basing that on but there you go. I'm moving back home after 5 years away so will be the first time in ages that i'm able to get a season ticket and regularly attend games. To say i'm buzzing for it is an understatement- maybe that's where my baseless optimism comes from.
  9. But you're comparing apples to oranges there. Midfield is our strongest area, if any of the Killie players mentioned played centre mid they wouldn't be near the team, however they all play in areas that we're particularly weak. Unfortunately for Turnbull we have some excellent and established midfielder's but his time will come, I would think.
  10. I'm not going to drag this thread any further off track with your clutching at straws exercise. We're both agreed Turnbull should have been in the squad, there.
  11. Honestly if you think Tait deserves to be in in front of O'Donnell then there's no hope for you.
  12. Why would you have a problem with the 4 keepers though? It makes not a jot of difference to anything how many keepers there are. If we had top level strikers missing out all over the shop then I could understand but we don’t. Screams of someone who is looking to be pissed off. And no you’re right on this one; I mean playing a midfielder at fullback worked so well against the Kazhak’s, how could Clarke have been so foolish? Also O’Donnell has been better than Tait for the last 2 seasons, anyone who didn’t have glasses ridiculously tinted in claret and amber knows that. Get behind the team and stop talking pish. Turnbull should have been in the squad but I’m actually glad that he gets the summer to rest. Campbell was burnt out for half the season last year after playing through the summer.
  13. McBurnie's injured and the four keepers is in order to assess them all moving forward, probably all won't go to Belgium. Eta. O'donnell and Palmer are the best RB's to choose from so all in all you haven't made one valid point there outside the first couple of sentences- should have stopped there.
  14. Tbf to the bold Boab, he could fair skelp a free kick.
  15. I remember a game towards the end of the season, perhaps the one that we beat Aberdeen at home to secure 3rd under McGhee. Cue scenes at the final whistle, Kerr picked up the ball to joyously punt it into the crowd, instead he inadvertently launched it straight over the stand. Rugby player you say...
  16. Fraser Kerr had a few games at right wing if I remember correctly. Count your blessings well fans.
  17. I don’t have a problem with them playing together. I imagine Robinson may do however.
  18. Yeh, that’s what I took from it. Gotta think it’s bad news for Gorrin, as you would assume he was signed on the idea that Bigi would be leaving. We’ve got more midfielders than we need already and the one who we had basically written off is now hanging around seemingly. Be interesting to see if we lose either Cadden or Campbell as I can’t see any of the others bringing in bids.
  19. Going by Robinson’s interview sounds like Bigi won’t be leaving after all. Good news if we actually use him correctly moving forward.
  20. Fair play mate, that one was so off the mark that it did bring a smile- unintentionally or not.
  21. The debt is apparently interest free so shouldn’t be all that too much of a burden, other than the obvious obligation to pay. I believe (this is an educated guess) that our ‘business model’ involves us selling a vision to players that sees us giving them an opportunity and promoting them for X amount of money if they perform. It’s quite simple, Kipre had a £million price tag on his head. We received a structured offer that met that- so he goes. When you consider where he started off last season, I honestly cant see why anyone would have a problem with this.
  22. Genuinely have no idea what you’re talking about.
